Cool man. See how you weigh in 7 days and 14 days 🙂 You should be able to drop a good 2lbs within 2 weeks if you are eating on point and training 🙂

Question to you guys:
I am doing a lifting routine before my cardio that changes every week. Because every week I am doing completely new exercises, I am always getting sore. I am supposed to do this work out 3x a week. Well because of this lifting on Monday, by Weds I am still sore, and I am hesitant to lift on sore muscles. Should I just push through it or should I keep resting and just do cardio/abs that day?
There are two types of soreness (probably way more but I am talking basics): 1) are you hurt? 2) is it just lactic acid/etc?
1) you want to avoid stressing that injury usually.
2) you can train through.
Dude, get back in. You are doing new lifts lifts each week. If I don't train for 7 days and i get back I'm going to be horrifically sore for about 3-4 days. Why? I haven't trained in 7 days.
Are you eating enough protein?
Most people make too big a deal about soreness. The question you have to ask yourself is it VERY sharp pain? If not then most often you are fine and do you want results? If so get back in the gym to train.

Just don't want to over work something and cause actual injury.
protein intake is around 160-180g a day. My body in general tends to recover more slowly from injury, soreness, etc.
Plan on working out today though.
The army has done research with replacing all the ridiculous amounts of running with doing compound barbell lifts. The soldiers who did the barbell lifts and no cardio were able to run longer and faster, carry more, and recover faster than those that did the traditional running for miles and miles all day.
The article was on Mark Rippetoes website at some point but I can't find it anymore.
