US politics needs more Christie, less Romney

Christie did what a normal human should do... It's not about politics, it's about providing and accepting help as it's needed....

That's my read as well.

But if it was really political, well.. Isn't it possible that, after watching for the last six months, Christie has realized that Romney is as much of a fraudulent douchebag as anyone else with an IQ over room temperature has? Maybe he sees what's happening in his state and actually thinks it would be good to have someone stable and competent in the Oval Office instead of a used car salesman who will say or do anything to get what he wants.

No.

We do not look to federal government for help or to provide. We provide, we help. It starts locally and on to state leadership. He just wants the monies.

Do you honestly think federal resources are going to swoop in and take care of it? No. They just provide the money.

Once you start looking to federal government for help, you're already gone. I can't fault Christie too much, he wants the monenies. His state paid for it, now demand they deliver the money stolen from his state.

Wow. Quoted for stupidity. You think the devastation that occurred in NJ, any state would be able to have the immediate funds for relief? It doesn't help that NJ has been giving it's money to the red states.

Oh, doesn't your wife work for the Federal Government?

Obama will get his best ad buy this week, without actually buying or taping an ad.

Watching him and Christie walk hand-in-hand right after Christie butters up Obama for the anchors, and watching that clip play on every major station in every major city...I'm tearing up. 😉

Meanwhile Romney is begging to be relevant again in a news cycle dominated by Sandy, Christie, Obama and FEMA.

Who knew a hurricane would sink Romney's chances like a schooner surrounded by 40ft waves?

Christie just threw the R&R ticket under the bus the week before the election.

Normally I would say governor endorsements don't matter, but Christie is the bell of the ball in all this post-hurricane coverage. He's getting more airtime than Jordan.

I'm sure on some level he's a lying scumbag like the rest of them, but on another level he does stand with a very few who appear to have some semblance of character. He's certainly interesting to listen to and very often is correct.

I cannot help but wonder if the mystique surrounding him would vanish if he actually had to run for president, but at this time he seems infinitely better than the rest of the potential nominees for republican president.
I can 100% guarantee that all the lefties praising Christie will be bashing him six ways from Sunday as soon as he presents a threat to whatever lefty is currently running for POTUS. Whether or not his mystique would vanish depends on how you define that mystique, I suppose, but it's indisputable that we'll see numerous claims of those who would vote for a "reasonable" Republican but not this dishonest extremist. Hell, even this election cycle Christie gets slammed whenever he isn't praising a Democrat.

I'm sure when he is battling the teacher's/public state unions in the state and/or pushing for spending cuts he'll go back to being the bad guy that those on the left have characterized him as in the past. Meanwhile Christie is doing the job he was elected to do and that is taking charge of his state in a time of crisis.

Furthermore his praise of Obama is not an issue because all presidents would react in the same way when encountering a situation in which their support is needed and called upon by the states involved in a ongoing natural disaster that has struck a large portion of the continental East Coast of the US.

Anyone who believes that Romney (or any other current presidential candidate) would not provide the support or reaction similar to Obama in a similar scenario is basically operating in the direct opposite of manner and sentiment of which Christie has rejected in a time of crisis with his statements.

The Republican Party is running the most dishonest presidential candidate in history, in my opinion. Romney cannot open his mouth without lying; he can't even take a position on something without contradicting it a day later. He has no character, no moral compass. All he cares about is trying to win votes.

On the other hand, this party also has a man in it named Chris Christie, who is willing to speak his mind even if there are potential political consequences:

And Christie deserves great credit for saying so.

I may not agree with him on everything. And in the end, he's a politician. But we'd be better off with more politicians like him, and fewer like the fraud his party wants to be the leader of the free world.

We all agree with what christie said befor the event and after , You don't get it , Obama did his job , big deal . Christie is doing what all politicans do . He is pandering for relief aid for his state like any good govenor would do.

LMAO, you're fucking retarded, you know what would happen if a republican were in charge? We'd get more 'you're doing a heckuva job brownie!' and less competence. Bush hired a fucking ARABIAN HORSE JUDGE to head FEMA for god's sakes.

I present to you all exhibit A. I rest my case.

Don't forget to wipe the political rabies foam from your mouth dude.

Christie is trying to undercut Romney so he can run in 2016.

LOL

No, but it sounds likely to partisan hacks. Christie would tell either one to screw off if he had a mind too. Unfortunately partisan hacks have forgotten that people used to speak their minds, and project their own mentality onto others.

And all the righties bitching now will be praising Christie again when he starts bashing the President.

I guess that's politics.
