You’re right—it shouldn’t be up to him. If we had a legit cabinet, Pence would be President right now. But a person like Trump gets to where he is by surrounding himself with cowards.
 
1. This is stupid and childish and will change nothing. The seditious MAGA Karens will be removed by the National Guard, the congress will count the EC votes and Biden will be inaugurated on Jan 20th.
2. This is a GLARING example of white privilege and racism in America. The BLM protesters were 20 times more people and the DC police easily held them back with overwhelming force. But these bunch of Karens just marched right into the Capital with virtually ZERO resistance.
3. Congrats, MAGA Karens, the US now looks like a 3rd world country.

Clear the grounds. Finish ceremonial election procedures. House and Senate should then proceed directly to new impeachment hearing, make this traitor the only loser to ever be impeached twice. The 25th being used seems like an even longer shot, unless Pence snaps I guess. The point is there can't be no answer, no penalty for sedition and treason. Civic vandalism has become a resume builder in republican politics. I just don't see how any of it goes away if the reaction from Congress is shrugs and silence. What is to dissuade Trump 2.0?

I am so disappointed by this. These people should be being put in jail. Before that they should be using tear gas, rubber bullets and boots on their necks. Must happen now. These folks are everything that is wrong with our nation today. These people who are privileged, white, snow flakes.

It will be nice when this is over and order is restored. I will remind you how it works here when this happens. Everyone of these folks will be in a new series of prisons that will be a major effort to restore employment over the new few years.
