IMO, this never should have been spun as something political.

Here we have a parolee twice convicted of bank robbery. I.e., a real criminal. In saner times the question would have been why was he paroled?

Taking a single instance of a criminal nut type loser and attempting to draw broader political point is fail.

No, your fucking retarded thread title. How about "crazy asshole shot at cops".

What is inaccurate about the thread title? Should all threads 9/11 be changed into "crazy guys crash planes into building." Should we change the war on terror into the "war on mental illness"? No, screw that. It's extremist Islam that is behind terrorism just like it was extremist right-wing idiocy that was behind this event.

The hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance of the right is amazing in this thread... We even have Nick arguing for a more politically correct title. LOL. And I say that as someone who gets attacked from the left all the time for being hard on illegals and Muslims.

Fern's post a few up lays out my position pretty well. Your loaded title is fail

You might have made a similar comment in this pjabber thread:

But you didn't.

In any event, I have no use for either thread, or any similar threads.

So do you want to admit you can't answer my questions?

Fern's post is fail because he didn't read most of the posts in this thread. The only broader political point I've made is that the government should be concerned with right-wing extremists. Of course this is obvious and they already are. Everything else, including the title, is just fact.

He was a right winger, he wanted a revolution, and he shot at cops. Your attempts at white-washing are just a perverse form of conservative political correctness.

-snip-

I read the info published, which is really what an opinion s/b based upon.

A twiced convicted bank robber (i.e., a violent criminal) goes on a rampage and the newspaper article slants this as something political? That's rubbish.

So we have a criminal who's also a nut and the lefty newspaper tries to shoe-horn this into into the left's talking point (and fearmongering) about 'right-wing extremists'?

This shouldn't have even been attempted until they can tie him to some group.

We have far more stories, and more deadly ones, where the gunman's rampage stems from domestic issues.

The difference is that pjabber said that the left generally seems violent. I haven't said that but I know it's hard to read things closely. ;)

No, you didn't, but you did make a broader point:

Hopefully law enforcement will take the threat of right-wing extremists seriously.

Well, of course, hopefully the police will take the threat of any kind of criminal activity seriously, but does this incident generate a broader concern about right wing violence as a trend? I don't think so, and that's assuming that there was a political motive. So far as right wing violence is concerned, I'm more interested about say, militia groups, for example, than I am in lone assailants with long criminal rap sheets.

The pjabber thread was even worse though; I'll give you that. He did generalize about the left, and as it turned out there was no evidence of political motive in the attack at all.

Edit: I notice something about this story that defeats the main point that the right wing posters were making in the pjabber thread - that the New Orleans incident hadn't gotten any national converage, supposedly because of the "liberal media." Yet the incident in this thread seems to only have garned local coverage as well.

This guy should have tried to blow up the pentagon or other government buildings. He'd be a hero to Perknose and his ilk and probably a member of the Obama Administration or at least a close personal friend.

Its amazing the spin the left needs to put on situations like this in order to try to demonize the right.. yet they CELEBRATE the terrorists and traitors in their midst. I guess when you President is making GWB look like a great leader you have to resort to attacks like these.

Your silly "comparison" of Jihadists to this random nut? I think you have my answer

You apparently can't explain the difference. But those weren't my exact questions. And you can't explain how my thread title is inaccurate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lone_wolf_(terrorism)

"Relatedly, anti-abortion militants The Army of God use "leaderless resistance" as its organizing principle.[5][6][7]"

There's no reason not to take lone wolves seriously or to think that they can't be politically-motivated.

You're the one whose words explictly advocate blowing up the Pentagon or another government building, but you can't prove any of your idiotic rant about Perknose, any member of the Obama Administration or even "a close personal friend" of Obama.

In other words, you're still the same lame ass lying, paranoid loser you've always been with nothing to say and far too many words to say it.
