Mitchie Poo (the fond nickname of Philly insiders) is now a
beloved  commentator on CSN (Comcast), which carries all the Philles games any other local network doesn't, and which has an extended post game show following ALL Philles and Sixers and EAGLES post game shows.
The Eagles post game features our
beloved Gov Ed Rendell, who is as
real a politician as a person as you could ever want.
Philadelphia fans, in whichever professional sport, but even more historically in football and baseball, have been long renowned for their sophisticated understanding of the game, notwithstanding the old vet 700 football level and their tendency to beat up anyone daring to wear the jersey of another team to an Eagles game, not to mention historic Franklin Field. (U of P by the tracks and still hosting their games.)
Philly football fans cheered defense years and even decades before fans in many, many other cities did, 'tis inarguably true.
