Harry K is usually one of the best but I have to admit that was kinda meh. I think he was trying to keep from having a heart attack.

Bunch of hot sluts at McFaddens on CSN.

Haha, just turned on the slingbox, on CSN.

They're showing the scene at Chickie's, and you could very clearly hear someone yell "Fuck you, Manny!" when they showed him leaning on the dugout rail before the 3rd out.

Anyone listening to that radio announcer? Jesus, and people complain about white sox announcers, that was the worst call I have ever heard in my life. It sounded like one of those synthesized computer voices.

Harry K? Are you kidding me?

WTF are spewing out of your piehole, Sparky? Nutter is a highly intelligent and deeply principled guy who is a MAJOR upgrade over Mayor Street.

Put up or STFU, son.

LOL, Cole Hamels does have this tiny, somewhat high register voice.

It kind of takes away from the mystique. :p

An upgrade over Street? Definitely, but isn't that aiming a little low? I'm not all that old, but Street was probably the most corrupt mayor there in my lifetime.

He might very well be a very good guy, but he hasn't been in office long enough to judge either way. Violent crime is still way up and economic growth isn't all that strong. He's done plenty for accountability and ethics, but it remains to be seen how that all turns out.

I'm not here to debate the merits of the current administration, though. Can't tell me it wasn't a bit odd to see the mayor himself in line for an iphone on a work day though.

LOL X Infinity @ Charlie Manuel.

I've been slow to come around, but I now deeply respect his basic baseball knowlege, even if he has never in his life uttered a a completely grammatical English sentence.

I mean this.

Charlie RULEZ!

Is anyone still watching this? There is definitely an unofficial parade going down broad st. They just had the cameras on broad and shunk, with two drunks hanging out the sunroof of what looked like a hummer.

I better call my grandma and explain what's going on to her. She probably has no idea there was an important game on tonight.

Lol, I had to google "Farmer Fran."

Nevertheless, I MEAN it when I say that I profoundly respect, from deep within my aridly intellectual heart, the world class baseball erudition and highly baseball-educated touch of mumbly-mouthed Mr. Charlie Manuel.

Bottom line: The Phillies schooled the highly hyped Dodgers in EVERY phase of the game -- Defense, Pitching, and Hitting.

I meant to post this last night, but I'll post it now. It will probably infuriate you.

Nice to see how wrong this guy got it. The media was definitely pulling for an LA-Boston WS, and it looks like neither is going.

Manuel certainly took some time to settle in as a manager here. I liked him from day 1 for his baseball smarts, but some of his early moves bewildered me. I think I've just come to accept that he's a player's coach, and he sticks with his guys, even if its to his own detriment at times. It's just how he develops players, and it appears to be working.

He's 100% American and not fluent in English, but I gotta love the guy.

I like how he said a sweep wasn't out of the question. He was almost right... :D
