I'm thinking most other first world nations feel that Trump is going to be a one term president and that in the big picture all they have to do is weather this freak storm that is Trump and hope for the USA to pick a new POTUS who is a savvy competent player that knows how to bargain in good faith.

Trump is a cancer on the nation. A fast growing malignant cyst that needs to be removed from the body politic of the nation and rendered harmless along with his fellow corrupted Repubs that's now holding Congress hostage for the wealthy.

Preferably, he needs to be sent back to his private life as the pugnacious pitiful little fish that the big fish know him to be, or better yet thrown in jail with his son and sort'a son for the crimes they're perpetrating against the nation right at this very minute.

Unfortunately I think he just stains us all.

Do you know much of the internal politics/parties of other nations?

When you see Duterte running death squads, do you think "ah, well, but he is from the PDP. What do you expect? Hopefully this plays to LP's advantage and we end this travesty..."

Or do ppl think "who the F is that?" and if they do, "wow, Filipinos are a bunch of barbarians!"

Trump has proven us to be the idiotic cartoon shit-kicking cowboys the world always suspected we were.
This won't be forgotten.

Because in international relations you never get everything you want. We should support other countries if their actions on the whole are better for us, not if they support us on everything. This was a dumb and childish move on Trump’s part and it just served to embarrass the US and make us look weak.

He seriously needs to stop trying his hand at international relations. He’s gotten rolled by every country he’s tried to make a deal with or intimidate.

I strongly disagree. Not weak at all.

Who cares about our reputation with thug regimes? Besides leftists and Commies? Oh no! Venezuela and Cuba with seats on the U.N. Human Rights Council will say mean things about us!

Germany? Uk? France? Australia? Canada? Japan?

Our most important democratic allies just told us to go F ourselves. Along with scores of other influential countries.

What did we win for this move?

Nothing. We got nothing.

We can do nothing about it other than throw a pity party for a bunch of nobodies, and it makes us look weak.

Yet you want to double down on becoming a pariah.

Conservative strategery at its finest.

We threatened the whole world and almost everyone laughed in our face. Now we either follow through on our threat, which is a bad idea, or we don’t and then nobody takes our threats seriously.

The world is laughing at us and our weak, inept leadership.

You guys really are no different than the frantic conservative right was over Obama being in office. Liberals are the new conservatives.

It's useful to us and to the world as a whole, but I see no reason to continue funding it at the levels we fund it when they actively work against our interests.

How, then, is moving the embassy to Jerusalem in our interests? What's in it for America?

Of the 6 you listed, 2 voted to abstain.

Which is the same as go fuck yourself because if they really didn't like they would of voted NO.

Sadly tajbot is correct here. A vote for abstention is not an "FU" so much as a "Please don't hurt me Trump!" by countries that otherwise would normally vote for the resolution. Which is why Nikki Haley invited abstentions to her pity party too.

Well were all entitled to our opinions and I still think its essentially the same as a FU in this case.

Yet every one of them found good reason not to do it. Trump is doing it for domestic political advantage, not for foreign policy reasons at all. It's a giant Fuck You! to every other govt in the region & a clear message to the Pals that we'll let Bibi & the settlers put the bone to 'em even deeper.

Nobody really needs the aggravation but Trump needs to pander to the base & everything else plays second fiddle to that, no matter how many brown people get killed.

The Israelis have this whole occupation & oppression thing down pat, anyway. It's routine-

So Bill Clinton promised to do it ......and lied, then Barack Obama promised to do it ........... and lied, then Donald Trump promised to do it..........and had the balls to carry out his promise.

You forgot Bush.

Yes, it was verbal handjob to the narrow-visioned evangelicals by educated politicians who understood the self-destructive consequences of actually doing it.

The witless fool Trump, who is educated in nothing, didn't bother to understand the situation and got us into this mess.

We gain nothing for this global GFYS. It's not even in our national interest. It makes no difference where our Israeli embassy is located.

We got played, but Trumpos are too ignorant to even see the game.

We didn't threaten the " Whole World ", Drama much? Let them laugh. They will stop when the gravy train no longer shows up. It is high time we quit bribing other countries and attempting to buy their support anyway and then they continue to stab us in the back. I think we do need to revisit the constant handouts to every Tom, Dick and Harry in the world. Cut it off.

Let's start with the heavy hitter: Israel.
