It's already been debunked that Republicans are "far far right". In fact, it's just the opposite - Democrats have moved to the extreme left. Maybe you are viewing everyone who doesn't agree with you as "right wing nuts"? Ever consider that? Read the Pew study that shows what reality is:

"This can be seen in dramatic fashion when you look at where the center of each party was in 1994, and where it is today. Pew used a 10-item scale of political values to determine ideological purity among those who claim affiliation with the two parties. The results show that while the Republican center moved only slightly to the right over the past 23 years, the center of Democratic part shifted far to the left. "
Lol, IBD editorial. Yes though, let’s consult actual empirical research and see who has moved where:
As anyone with eyeballs can see Republicans have become incredibly radicalized over the last four decades. One thing that is interesting in the last few years though is they have become a bit more economically moderate in rhetoric as they have shifted to a white nationalist grievance party under Trump.
Please note they haven’t become any more moderate in POLICY, as shown by Trump’s giant tax cut for rich people that raised taxes long term on the middle class, but now they at least pretend better.
