I think Shogun was kind of out of it at that point and was looking down and covering up. It happened really fast and he was tapping as the ref came running in. Ya, it was technically "after" the ref stopped it so he doesn't get a "tapped via strikes" on his record. But he did not nonetheless.....that's how bad of a beating Jones put on him.
Some people will called Shogun a pussy for doing it, but really he knew he was done and what's the point in getting more punishment afflicted on yourself? GSP has tapped to strikes before too.

Hughes verbally tapped to GSP once :) I think the GSP tapping to strikes was somewhat debated. I will say - I don't think Shogun tapped...that GIF makes a good argument, but think he was just out of it as you said.

I will pull a Woosta (not post for a year) if Rashad knocks him out. Jones is going to kill him.

Evans is second only to Couture for making people eat their predictions... I think Jones will definitely be the favorite but I hesitate to count Rashad out that fast.

Who in LHW can give Jones a fight? (don't say Couture, he might actually die in there with Bones) -
Why? If anyone can make a grapple fest of it, it is Randy. Hell, I think Rashad has a better chance than Machida just because he has trained with him, and knows him so well.

We all know anyone can be had, make a mistake, get caught, whatever you want to call it. And If anyone knows where to exploit Jon Boy, it is Rashad. Bones has been pretty Juggernaut so far, but it only takes one big shot to turn your lights off, or put you on queer street.

But he has the best chance of defending multiple times, no doubt about it.

He was "out of it", but he tapped. I have no doubt about that actually. It was that body shot that made him tap. You see those guys (take for example the CroCop body kick on Magomedov or the kick that Salaverry took from Gono) take a liiiiiiver shot and a little delayed reaction where they go down. Shogun had had enough at that point and was tapping out in my opinion. I'm sure he didn't know the ref had stopped it yet though.

Just heard Jon Jones rescued a kitten out of a burning house. Lol! Just keep listening to everything Dana White's PR staff throws out.

Rashad can't wrestle fuck Jones meaning his only shot is to strike. He won't be Jones in that department, he isn't that much quicker than Shogun so I don't see him making up the distance. TBH I'd rather see Shogun vs Rashad because I think Rashad stands about as much a chance as Shogun did, maybe slightly better TDD.

Thiago "mysterious-piss-test" Silva. That's an interesting matchup for Bones. Silva is a killer, and while Jones' ridiculous reach advantage still applies, the kind of 1 punch power Silva brings, along with brutal leg kicks and legit BJJ may be a threat.

Ahh hell who am I kidding. Deep down I think Jones will keep the belt as long as he wants. lol

Rich Franklin vs Matt Hamill. Hamill gave up due to liver strikes.

I am just throwing stuff out there. Bones is killin' it, and it is hard to imagine any of the present LHWs handling him.

I think Rashad has a much better chance than a rusty, bad kneed, terrible TDD, Shogun though.

I agree only because of his take down defense. Standing, while Rashad is quick and has good hands, he isn't the striker Shogun is and I don't see him making up that distance. It will be a different fight because it will probably stand more, but Rashad has a suspect chin and Jones doesn't not bring it.

I say we let Woosta continue to post his cool MMA threads with "vital media rich content" (aka a shitload of .gifs). :D

Who cares if he posts? If it's dumb shit, just call him out on it, haha.

He made the bet, no one else did. You make a bet and lose, you pay.

It's funny, ever since the UFC has started to go with these Facebook streams, they're probably increasing views of other streams. Everytime, below the prelim is a chat window with people spamming links to "FREE UFC PPV stream here....". Most of them are probably bullshit, but it probably at least gets people who had no idea to start searching for them.

Just now they said for hitting 5 million FB likes, they added UFC 116 Lesnar vs Carwin fight for free to watch. But a bunch of the unappreciative comments say "why we can always have watched it free anyway...". By trying to "use the power of social media" in a way it's spreading around things that hurt their revenue.

Though I don't know why you would use a low quality replay of the video if an official quality one was available (though of course, "Content Failed to Load").

It was a stupid bet anyway. I mean, did anyone take him serious when he said he was going to lay down $500 on Shogun? I thought Shogun had a decent chance but no way I'd lay down $500 on either especially Shogun.

That has nothing to do with FB likes. They've already showed the entire PPV on Spike for free.

There are pics to prove the park incident or do you think those were set up as well?
