Better get your b...b...but Clinton, in now, your cult leader won't have any excuses and neither will you in a few more weeks.

I'm not a member of a cult. Haven't we covered this before? I think so. I never said but Clinton about anything. Just commented on someone elses post that was claiming she was against it but didn't really mean it.... ;)

The same ones also have a tendency to believe they're competent. Also hardly a coincidence.

If Western consumers (US, EU, others) are gone, commie china is dead meat because they have no one to buy their junks. Let them deal with a few hundred million unemployed chinese. Not a pretty picture.

Countries that has trade relations dont go to war with eachother. There is that little abysmal silver lining to even "bad" trade deals.

Not sure what that is supposed to tell me. I think it's a great thing that Chinese businesses and government see Africa as an investment with potential from rather than a pathetic child that needs to be fed once in a while when it cries. That's the kind of attitude needed to bring Africa into the developed world.

The Paracel Islands are rightful Chinese clay and were stolen by France, btw. Vietnamese transplants need to be evicted.

Paracel? You mean Spratly because Paracel is already taken in whole by commie china after they attacked the already weakened by civil war Republic of Vietnam (S. Vietnam) in 1974. Spratly is occupied by several nations, not just by Vietnam. Oh, just in case you did not know, the United Nations (UN) Arbitral Tribunal/Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague said commie china has no right to claim anything in SCS per UNCLOS.

Get your facts straight.

This is based on what exactly?

My text is pretty easy to understand, what do you need help with?

Complex agreements are not productive. Why does there need to be one giant agreement that covers everyone, why not a few smaller ones that are more tailored?

Intentionally wanting your country to crash and burn just so you can say I told you so. As Moonie would say the self-loathing is strong in this one.

Have you ever taken any positive action to try to change the direction of our society or merely going along for the ride and letting others steer the course?
You just get another question answer.

You pulled it out of your ass. Got it.

You made a claim that experts can't agree on the meaning of the text and I asked you what where you basing that on, as in, where did you see that the text's meaning had different interpretations.

Also a documents complexity doesn't necessarily dictate its ability to be effective or be easily interpreted. Exhibit A would be the constitution, from which, the largest, most complex government has been created with a branch of said government dedicated to interpreting the document itself.

And another reason to cover multiple areas in a "giant agreement" is just basic negotiation. We get some of what we want, other countries get some of what they want. If you break it into lots of smaller agreements, you would likely lose some of your bargaining power.

With Trump working on scrapping TPP on his first day of office, many PacRim countries are looking to PRC's trade deal as an alternative. Just give US's influence in PacRim to PRC why don't you.

/n facepalm.

China has a legit interest there. It is in their backyard and they are the world's largest manufacturer. Accept that America is now in an era of waning influence, that is to be expected when it has increasingly fewer things to sell to the rest of the world. This is going to continue and it is not necessarily a bad thing for the world (though it is arguably bad for America). I think of it more as a RESULT of the bad thing (America producing less).

Hey I'm just relying on print news and the part that has been posted. Grab a random page and read it you'll see.

With the size of our market I doubt it but this is simply my opinion.

You realize we are still the world's second largest manufacturer, particularly in non-trinket goods (think high-tech machinery - medical devices, scientific instrumenation, healthcare instrumentation, heavy equipment, pharmaceuticals, etc...) as well as a large agricultural exporter and intellectual property generator. There is more to the vast American economy than just manufacturing.

America just produce/sell different kinds of things now, like intellectual property. Competing with cheaper countries on for example textile production makes no sense, no matter how much the dummies feel like they deserve middle class wages for low-profit work. The point of these agreements is horse trading some of what we want with what textile producers etc want, eg better IP protection for access to markets sort of thing.

AND.... America is SHRINKING in every one of those categories while China is GROWING RAPIDLY in each of them. China has nearly DOUBLE the number of patent applications and nearly equal the number of granted patents. As it becomes more skilled at manufacturing, it will become the generator of most IP. What is happening now is very much akin to what happened when America rose. India will likely surpass America as well. Asia is the future of the world.
