It doesn't matter how either of them characterized the meeting in Sessions' office. The fact that it occurred means Sessions lied. It's really just that simple.

No, it isn't just that simple. Kislyak has met with many many senators and congressmen through the years. Sessions says his meeting was as a Senator. If I have to choose one of them to believe I think I'll stick with the American Citizen.

As many have stated context does matter.

If the question is "have you met with any russian goverment officials" what does context have anything to do with it?

it is a simple fucking question.. if it was part of his job it is a yes... it is not that difficult

I don't have a problem with the meeting, just with Sessions lying about it. Characterization of the discussion is immaterial. His later qualification, that he did have contact but it wasn't about the campaign is quite lame. Had he been a democratic nominee the Senate would have called for his head on a plate, rightfully so.

Why haven't you replied to my post? Do you agree that the context differs? What about him recusing himself in the Russia probe? Or the FBI investigating him for perjury?

Context is the key and so far nothing has been found.

Yeah... Those contacts themselves are not illegal. But you know testifying before Congress that you had no knowledge about any such meetings in a Congressional probe looking into the possibility of conspiracy between the Trump team and Russia when such happenings did occur is pretty significant, no? Of course, it was just his faulty memory. Notice how he has suddenly remembered contacts from himself and team members after incontrovertible proof of his false testimony has been provided. He hasn't suddenly recalled any other pieces of information that I know of. But you know. Context.
