Trump threatens to remove news networks' press credentials over negative coverage

For anyone here who think the media is biased against Trump just because they hate him, I will propose a non-partisan real world scenario.

What was the first public act Trump performed the very first day of his administration? He sent Sean Spicer to tell a bald face lie about his inaugural crowd size. Let say you are in charge of a media outlet. How would you report it? If you told the truth would that not be a negative story? Whenever the President makes statements it is news. Trump has been documented to have broken all known records for lying by a wide margin. Would not reporting on these statements in themselves be negative Trump stories?

So I ask who's fault is that the media or Trump??

If you say a bunch of blatantly dishonest things the press is going to cover that and present the facts.

If you say a bunch of objectively horrible, insulting, and racist things the press is going to cover that.

If you commit crimes and are under investigation with 20+ indictments against members of your campaign and admin, the press is going to report that.

If you have a history of fraud and lawsuits against you, the press is going to report that.

This is quite simple really, if you don't want negative press, don't do negative shit.

The vast, vast vast majority of negative press against Trump is his own fault and incontrovertibly true. It is not the press' fault they are merely reporting the facts.

Hell, he said the "story hasn't changed" regarding Stormy when on AF1 his EXACT quote says different. Did he think people forgot or all copies have magically erased themselv's?.

I think the problem for conservatives is that they believe all of the above to have been completely true about Obama and Hillary, for some deluded feverish reasons, and they hate the press for not reporting the same about them. They believe it to be true, therefore it must be. ergo, it is the duty of the press to report the things they believe to be true, not what is true. Conservatives tend to recognize that Trump is a criminal, incompetent, subhuman piece of shit, but they really don't seem to care.

The real problem is that he is being treated unfairly because in their mind's the media's job is to falsely characterize Obama, Hillary, dems in the same light that Trump and their conservative heroes actually are. It is necessary because in their noble humbleness, brave conservatives truly believe that all politicians are scum, "both sides!" are equally to blame! The media is the enemy of the people because it doesn't honestly report on the equal crimes of both sides! and uphold the false, childish narrative that the enemy dems are just as bad!

Here is the full context to the comment and it is not even remotely clear that he was referring to MS-13. In fact, he never mentions MS-13 in his comment and talks about people coming in to the country generally. The NYT has it perfectly correct, it's just that your own bias is so strong that you view anything without a conservative bias as being somehow liberally biased. Your brain has been poisoned by the ultra partisan media you consume.

The question is about MS-13 but Trump is talking about all people that are coming into this country. EDIT: or at least a much larger group of people than just MS-13 members. (psst: this is because he's insanely racist against Hispanics)

Now of course Trump was speaking about a much wider group of people than MS-13, as his comments make clear and the NYT correctly states. The article definitely puts it in the context of MS-13 though and this is undeniable. I'm sorry DSF but you're just too biased to be able to rationally read nonpartisan news anymore.
 
Trump does have a history of referring to MS-13 as "animals". But...MS-13 is a gang of humans. To deny that is to distance ourselves from the history of human atrocities. It's also a small step from there to hyperbolized generalization, which Trump has a penchant for.

I agree that the NYT should have used more context but the cavalcade of bald lies Trump trotted out at this same meeting should bear similar, if not greater, concern.

He said that he's building his wall. Nope.
He said that MS-13 deportations were by the thousands. Not supported by any available data.
He said that border crossings were way down. Nope.
He said that San Diego was begging for the wall. Nope.
