Not a joke or an exaggeration. He literally said it, Trump's latest Truth Social rant says we need to terminate all election rules, including those in the US Constitution, to overturn the 2020 election and reinstate him.

So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!
Jail is too good for this son of a bitch. Every republican should be grilled about whether they support terminating inconvenient parts of the Constitution so that we can install Hair Furor as our illustrious leader for life. Note his post concedes that there is no way to give him what he wants without violating the Constitution and other laws.

POLITICO Playbook: Trump’s pre-runoff message: Terminate the Constitution - POLITICO

Has his rhetoric given way to naked authoritarianism now? Has he abandoned even the flimsy pretense of believing in democracy? What does it matter anyway? He won't lose any of his supporters because they don't believe in democracy either.

I agree he's desperate to avoid prosecution. But what does he think this kind of statement will accomplish? He isn't going to be reinstated. He isn't going to avoid prosecution over the records. I mean, we just went through a midterm where voters rejected his denialist candidates, and he says this right before the GA runoff. Walker should be asked about this, but he purportedly won't allow reporters within 20 feet of him.

Yeah, it's pretty sad when nothing this man can say - even calling for terminating parts of the US constitution, sparks much outrage anymore. Pretty sure the man could say we should have his pick of American women for his personal harem and people would just shrug and say, sure, we already knew he was a piece of shit anyway.

Well, damn. I guess I have been terribly remiss since the election in that I have seen neither hide nor hair of that MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION he's shouting about.

I will go WAY out on a limb here and predict that we will NOT be terminating all election rules, regulations, and articles, ESPECIALLY those found in the Constitution. I could be wrong, but...

I imagine the preferred lie will be that he doesn’t mean it. Every person with a brain knows he 100% means it though.

I wonder where all those conservatives who used to carry around a pocket constitution are? Oh yeah, supporting him because they never cared to begin with.

They carried it, had not a fucking clue what it actually says though.

Hmm requires 2/3rds of both houses and 3/4 of the states to ratify it or for 33 states (2/3) to call for a constitutional convention.

Saw Trumps rant a little whole ago. He doesn't seem to have much knowledge of, or respect for, the constitution.

Everything is acceptable when you believe you know what is good and what is evil as a product of conditioning. Anything challenging that view automatically has to be seen as without merit.

I know people give you a lot of shit here and I think most of it is undeserved, but really a sizable portion of republicans have no problem with this.

We need conservatives to police their own, to root out these anti-American assholes.

"Throw out the constitution and put me back in office specified by said constitution so I can ... uphold the constitution?"

Uh, sure. Makes complete sense.

They're not anti American, they're just stupid and gullible. They buy into every insane idea presented by every lunatic with a youtube channel. The one cohesive trait they all share is absolute certainty that every major news origination is part of the vast conspiracy to destroy the US. It's more than a little sad.

Trying to gear up his supporters for more political violence, maybe?

I’m confident they know what it says, I think they don’t care.
knowing what it says and understanding what it says can be polar opposites and I suspect most trump cultist fail to understand, just look at who confuses the first with a company monitoring what is posted on it's property.

I've said before that the right's version of patriotism is about flags and symbols, which to them is really about tribalism (nationalism). Not about anything of substance. Certainly not democracy. "Freedom" is just a nice sounding word to them. Anyway, the Constitution is just another symbol to them, like the flag. What's actually in it is pretty much irrelevant. Which is why they never actually read it. Including the ones who carry it around in their pockets, for show.

That is tribalism. They will only trust "their" people. Not "others".
Fervor.. or passion for their side demands that they take it further. Into the delusions that you spoke of.
Such thinking is to be human. But it is also highly dangerous when countrymen regard one another as an evil to be disposed of, and elections as fake.
It is a call to arms for the killing of one another.

That is Trump. That is MAGA.
