It's a variation of the Ukraine War. Violence/Threat of is justified due to a perceived(not inaccurate) threat to what they view as an Entitlement(for very many, the US is Christian, to others "Capitalist"). It's the Culture War triggering a violent war.

I reported SEVERAL Trumpers to the FBI on other forums over comments they posted back in 2020/21.

At least one of them WAS investigated too although I don't know what ultimately happened because I got banned for telling the guy to GFH.

Yang hasn't gone hard right. He is just trying to appeal to "independents," and as we all know, "independents" these days are just anti-Democrats that can't stomach the GOP any longer. The dude's number one policy is UBI, which is as far from right as you can get economically.

One could view UBI as a means to cut or undercut targeted welfare programs altogether.

In principle, I agree. In practice, I think you'd see public support for targeted measures plummet because the public would see that people are already getting some basic income, even if that income did not make up for the programs that existed before.

That's good though, we want to eliminate those targeted measures. They are inefficient and easy to demagogue against. Everyone loves social security and medicare because they are universal.

This drama show at Trumps residence was just as stupid as the arrest of Roger Stone. They could accomplish the same thing without all the drama and show for the media headlines.

Perhaps, but the costs to implement UBI may be politically infeasible, and the cost savings from eliminating targeted programs may not be as much as people think.

His followers believe anything he says and refuse to even consider anything negative about him as being a possible truth. I've only met 2 in real life that I had discussions with, but I honestly believed both were sincere when they said he was the by far the greatest president we've ever had. 1 even parroted Trump's "I've done more for black people..." So I brought up Lincoln FREEING black people from slavery. Apparently what Trump did for Africian Americans was still greater than that, who knew? I mean Trump did proclaim "the blacks love me" So maybe there is something to it.

I've seen a decent number of Trumpers bring up how much he's done for "the blacks" in the long list of great things he's done for this country. Which I find hilarious considering how 95% of them hate "the blacks".I know it's not true, but they believe it, so shouldn't they hate him because of that?

It would be ironic if Donny ended up in Prison with a black cell mate named Tiny.
