A recurring theme that I've found among social conservatives is that the only freedoms that exist are the ones that they engage in. The kneejerk response is that people shouldn't be doing that anyway, so let's pass a law and get government involved. So what's the argument then? All people here are saying is that they can, not that they should. Free speech doesn't mean freedom from speech you don't like.
Don't be a hippie liberal and DON'T burn the fucking flag! Just Because you can doesn't mean you should.
Would you burn American currency?

Translation: your mom's basement. STFU already. Both conservatives and liberals posting here think you are an unequaled twat...
I love all the amendments except the 18th.So the leftist cry foul when it's about the 1st but never about the 2nd.
Now THAT is ATP&N right there.Apparently snowflakes need a safe space. My safe space is my gun room.
Monumentally stupid, that one.I love all the amendments except the 18th.
It is a subjective thing. Factor that in and then take a step back.I was wrong, you're right sires. You're perfectly fine to burn the American flag that men and woman swore and fought under. It's YOUR right to be a dick.

Shame on the 21st for that.I love all the amendments except the 18th.
Does our President-elect know about this organization? Lock these guys up!

actually they're kinda the opposite, one is burning out of respect and the code of how to dispose of damaged/soiled flags, and the other is burning the flag as a symbol of protest, or rebellion. That isn't even close to the same thing chowderhead.
Obviously you have no clue. Lower ranked service personnel with families meet the requirements for food stamps. As for the free medical, most people that are serving are young so they barely use medical services. They fight and die "under the flag", because it's America's equivalent to socialism. Don't soldiers get all sorts of stuff, like cheap healthcare and a proper wage?

I've worked around the military for almost 37 years. In the early days, things were definitely tight for the lower ranks. These days, they are very well compensated. The 'food stamp' business is pretty misleading though as living in base housing dramatically lowers your 'income' and disproportionately high numbers of military spouses don't work.
All in all, compensation and benefits for being in the military are excellent, especially if you consider the qualifications necessary to join. Free medical, free training, better than free college, lifelong civil service benefits, etc.
The guy you are responding to is pretty bizarrely anti-military and what he says is usually ridiculous but let's not pretend people in the military aren't taken care of just fine.
Well, it was my carefully considered guess that his gun room was located in either WoW Legion or COD Black Ops 3.![]()
Everybody is a good person in his or her own mind if nowhere else, but almost nobody is a good person because he or she is his or her own self.
