Regarding Sheriff A-Hole, he's done some pretty serious stuff but he is an old guy. I don't think a pardon is out of order. I'd probably do it too.
However a pardon to have him return to doing what he was doing or use him as a campaign feature is unacceptable.

On a slightly different note I've seen that AZ Democrats are positively thrilled that Trump basically said he's going to pardon Sheriff Joe. He lost his election by 10 points and is an increasingly unpopular figure in the state. Reportedly they've been raising big bucks off that and anticipate even more.

Arpaio should serve whatever sentence gets handed down. End of story.

Why does his age matter? He made a lifetime out of tormenting immigrants and the prisoners he was charged with caring for and then so stubbornly refused to obey the courts who were trying to make him stop that he found himself in criminal contempt of them.

A pardon is 100% out of order as it not only encourages more people to defy the courts but it sends a message that abusing the citizens you're charged with protecting is ok. If anything, Arpaio's sentence should be longer.

Because it's an opinion

No one has mentioned it yet, but the police used tear gas on peaceful protestors outside the rally. Remember that the next time you're clutching pearls about antifa. The police state doesn't give a fuck if you're protest is violent or not, they will use violence either way.

I haven't read anything about this rally beyond the topic title, but I just figured I should point this out:

You don't use pepper spray to stop violence. Pepper spray is for removing non-violent people that won't comply with a lawful order to move or disperse. That's what it's for.

Meant to say tear gas. Editing now.

Fuck that. Let him rot. He's been a boil on the ass of race relations in this country for years.

I feel nobody should spend their final days in jail. This applies to nearly everyone.

So if you're old you can basically commit whatever crimes you want without sanction? The maximum jail term here is 6 months and he deserves to serve every minute of it.

Every time I've already concluded that Traitor-Trump is the most disgusting human being I've either met, read about or seen on the TV, he does one better and shows that the limits of Disgusting are a bottomless pit of . . Disgusting.

What I can't understand are those people attending his rallies, whether with "Blacks for Trump" posters or whatever.

Who was in charge of teaching those people what "being a good human being" means? They really must hate America and Americans, because they chose to elect this Disgusting Filth of Donald J. Trump. They hate our government; they hate the greater-than-50% of Americans who voted against him.

Double bumper sticker: "Trumpie and need roadside assist? No birth certificate?" "Wait for the mother ship and return to your home planet."

According to this article they did use pepper spray..

"Police used pepper spray to disperse crowds after protesters threw rocks and bottles outside the convention center where Trump spoke", police said.

Yeah. That's the type of situation where they use it. They're trying to force the unruly crowd to move before they start hurting people.

Still, I wish they would force the Trump rally to disperse.

Yuge turnout yesterday:

This room holds 4000 people. The other 3500 are all outside protesting.

GOP tries to show how much people love Trump with this picture of them lining up for Trump's rally yesterday:

Except it's NOT. It's the 2016 Cavaliers celebration. Lying again.

I've seen lots of video of tear gas canisters and flash bangs going into the crowd, rubber bullets hitting protesters, etc. I imagine there's plenty of video of all these unruly crowds that warranted a response like that. Can you post them?

Bigly! Not to give any credit to trump rallies but it looks like folks are still coming in and the pillar is right in the way where the speaker would be.

Also what's with this flag in the background looks like some russian or communist flag?
