More infinite wisdom from the Republican frontrunner. Trump claims Civil War didn't have to happen: "You could've negotiated that ... this is something that could've been negotiated ... that was a tough one for our country ... if you negotiated it, you probably wouldn't even know who Abraham Lincoln was ... that would've been okay"

You can say, that Trump is not just glossing over the issue of slavery, but downplaying it and criticizing abolitionists and Lincoln. To say nothing of his stunning ignorance of the history of the country he once “led.”

Republicans? are you not embarrassed this is the most popular man in your party?

I understand that people are looking for any reason to get him off the ballot, (and rightfully so) even if it’s by finding him mentally incompetent, but every time I hear that, I worry about the ramifications to all his pending legal cases. If he’s considered incompetent to be president, I’m guessing he MIGHT also be found incompetent to stand trial.
Sure he’s incompetent but he’s no where close to be declared medically incompetent.

I guess they are not even bothering with the "thoughts and prayers" anymore
Thoughts and prayers may occur, but are not worthy to report when media can focus on the "encouraging" get over it.
Luckily Trump is such a role model on how to get over it (i.e the loss of elections fair and square).

You'd think being found guilty of sexual abuse would be enough to torpedo your chances, but this is the GOP. You'd need a dead girl or live boy involved I reckon and even that wouldn't be enough. Not to mention the obvious attempt to overthrow an election, but hey who wouldn't do that if given the chance (other than Al Gore I guess).

Trump's not crazy, he's a shitstain doing his best to appeal to morons and bigots. And he's wildly successful at it. He's beating Desantis by 40 points in his own state.

You forgot this video from that speech.

Trump: You should all stay in those voting booths— you should stay there and watch and if you see bags of crap coming into the voting areas, you gotta stop it. You can't let it happen.

He is trying to deputize his MAGA crowd into policing the voting booths and stopping anything that they think is voter fraud. I don't know about you, but the last time I voted in person it was a couple of little old ladies behind a table and they do not need someone in a MAGA hat telling them that they need to stop someone from voting.

I dunno man ... Has he relayed that in this thread?. I don't follow fellow posters posting history unless they attack me personally with projection and garbage. I know quite a few normal people who voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 and totally regret it, hate the man with a passion today and wish he would just go away or die. They claim to never vote for or listen to his horseshit again. I can only take them at their word. These are people that have said this to me face to face which is a lot easier to comprehend the honesty than an anonymous message board like this. Looks like you are calling him out?

Eh, I know a lot of Trump zealots here in Desantisland (or what should be his land if daddy Trump wasn't beating him like a stepchild) and not a one of them seems to regret anything. If anything now I hear more about hispanics and other minorities buying into what he's selling. Good luck with that, chums....at least I can blend in if Trump gets his Amerika.

They all wish they didn't have such a dipshit in charge of their party--just look at his recent spiel about magnets and how a glass of water can "short" them out--but end of the day even a fraudulent rapist is better than a damn dirty liberal like Biden (which is awesome, considering Biden would be right-wing everywhere in the world but here.)

I find two time trump voters who claim to hate him disingenuous. Trump didn’t magically change into somebody else in the last 10 years. He has always been a shitty racist anti-American asshole. I can cut one time voters some slack, but two time? Nah, you’ve got nothing left to stand on.

Indeed. Yes great Liz Cheney did so much for the Jan 6 committee. But she voted orange monkey still in 2020.

Based on Trump's history those "bags of crap" are people that look like me. Sounds really accepting of POC by Republicans
