Seems to be going well...

Impossible. Trump said they already agreed to denuclearize.

You don't think he lied do you?

And Pompeo appears to have been exaggerating the positivity of how it actually went.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo came away from a two-day visit to North Korea on Saturday without meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong Un or securing a breakthrough in efforts to implement the denuclearization agreement signed by Washington and Pyongyang in Singapore last month.

But the top U.S. diplomat — before leaving Pyongyang — said the meetings with his North Korean counterpart, Kim Yong Chol, were “productive” and he claimed progress on “central issues” between the two longtime adversaries.

His rosy outlook was almost immediately rejected by North Korea’s foreign ministry, which called the talks “regrettable” and accused the United States of making unilateral demands for denuclearization. Pompeo just hours earlier said the two sides engaged in “good-faith negotiations.”

Pompeo has come under increasing pressure to produce tangible results from a June 12 summit that President Trump quickly touted as a game-changing moment that eliminated North Korea’s nuclear threat.

It may not accomplish anything, Neither of us know what the outcome will be.

I don't think anything was "given up" esp a " bunch of concessions ". That is just silly.

What did ignoring them for the last few decades do for us or anyone else? Oh yeah it allowed them to develop a nuclear weapon.

Of course your partisanship won't allow you to admit it.

Right. There policy was containing/ignoring them and their nuclear program through, maintaining a strong defensive posture, sanctions regime and regional alliances.

Instead Trump had decided to:

-unilaterally abandon our allies, defensive posture and military readiness exercises

-start a trade war with NK's primary supplier/sanctions enforcer

-handout photo ops of the US hugging dear leader and saluting their generals like a bunch of whipped bitches, all of which are being played on endless loops on NK state TV.

What did we achieve so far? Watered down NK promises and three hostages they could easily replace at will.

BRAVO!

Whatever. You guys are hopeless...

I will concede that the 24 days is only for "Undeclared Sites".

You can still cover up a lot in 24 days.

And it was still a crappy deal.
Your inability to put yourself to the standards you pose on others are mind blowing..

It’s kind of funny how he derides Obama’s nuclear deal which, you know, actually stopped a nuclear program while defending Trump basically just surrendering a bunch of concessions for nothing.

Partisanship is just that strong in some people I guess.

As soon as we stopped giving North Korea unilateral concessions they stopped being nice to us.

Who could have seen this coming other than everyone.

There is a possibility for success though. Kim is complaining about this being a unilateral offer. If Trump takes back the CD and replaces it with genuine vinyl it might work.

Calm down folks, not to worry, this is all part of a long term master plan strategerized by both *heh* Trump and *snicker* Bolton whereby the clueless Kim Jong Un is going to give in to Trump's demands the day before the election that will give Trump his third term in office. Trump and Bolton (Pompeo who?) came up with this awesome plan by adhering to the principles found in the revered "The Art of The Deal".

I'm just wondering if those two knuckleheads realize that Kim and Ji Jinping have read the same book backwards and forwards a gajillion times.

I'm pretty sure Pompeo thought he had at least an agreement for each side to say that the talks were going well and the NK just waited for him to open his mouth on the record to release their trash talk. Like a swift kick in the ass on the way out the door. "thanks for coming by, oh and eat this". Just speculating of course, nut odd the contrasting statements with the north's somehow being more crdible. smh.

Trump's NK policy is collapsing.

We need to immediately end this charade and return to our traditional military stance and alliances.

We should have never trashed our military exercises.

Kim played trump like a bitch, that is how history will be written. my only question is what will trump do now, go back to "fire and fury" threats?

Old news.

" North Korea’s submarine-launched ballistic missile program was first publicized in 2014. North Korea is believed to have undertaken four to six test launches of its SLBM model known as the KN 11. The test firing of a missile in 2016 that traveled 300 miles signaled that the program was progressing."

I guess the part you seem to be missing is that a NEW submarine is being built.

But reading comprehension isn't your thing, now is it?
