Trump and Kim have now shaken hands...breaking

I usually stay out of politics but this is actually quite interesting to me. Watching the live video of it.

Ironically Trump is going to need Rodman to get any semblance of a win. So far Kim is up 3-0

Photo-op with POTUS
No human rights talks on the table
Relaxation of sanctions.

So much winning for Kim

technically, Kim won as soon as POTUS flew into the meeting. That's how it has been and why no other POTUS would make this happen (nukes will never be on the table).

STILL, I hope something positive does happen. Trump trying to meet with NK, no conditions, is actually an Obama idea that he never could do, for whatever reason. Would be nice to see Trump follow through on a good Obama plan, and better yet to get something positive out of it.

I'm curious...what did Kim win? Money? Women? Territory? Concert tickets?

You just listed a reason why no other POTUS would make this happen, and then said Obama couldn't do this "for whatever reason". That's a little contradictory. It seems like you think it's a bad plan if one person does it but a good plan if another person does it. I have only a little hope for these meetings...but if they do work out, let's drop the partisan shit and hope for the best no matter which team implements it.

Sure would. It was a good plan under Obama, and I hope it is still a good plan even under the narcissistic orange turd.

Kim won a huge boost to his legitimacy at home just by this meeting happening. No matter what he gets at least that out of this.
His legitimacy at home doesn't matter, on the world stage it's also of little consequence. What matters is getting rid of the nukes. If that happens it will be because the US writes him a huge check.

His legitimacy at home matters very much to him and his crew. What are you talking about

If legitimacy at home doesn't matter why is your president taking a dump on all your countries allies to pander to his base?

One thing i do thank trump for is pulling out of the TPP because with the US gone , all the insane IP stuff got removed and pretty much everyones complaints about TPP vanished overnight.

There are still politics even in NK, his legitimacy very much matters and by sitting down with an American President we have given him that essentially for free so far. We'll see what else develops but we've been a great boost to his position at home.

I read some mainstream media reports that said Kim was taking a bit of a risk by leaving North Korea at all.

So, appeasement then... lol.
The US has always used checkbook diplomacy. There is always chatter of great strides being made, differences being worked out, mutual respect and a host of other crap. But there is always an amount specified, and a check written. I don't like it even a little bit, but that's how it will work out.
