But then went to 2 Super-bowl's with Denver winning one of them.

Brady has won 6 sb's plus has an outside shot at #7 this year.
Yea, but the Broncos won that super bowl mainly on a dominant defense. Manning actually missed almost half the regular season, and they continued winning with him out of the lineup. In the Super Bowl he actually had very mediocre stats (<150 yards, 0 TD, 1 int).

The same for Tampa, to a lesser extent. I think Brady still clearly has a stronger arm than Manning did in his years at Denver, but I dont think Brady at his age can dominate SB quality defenses the way he used to (i.e. the comeback wins against Atlanta and Seattle, and 500+ yds against the Eagles in a loss), but if the defense can force a few turnovers, the Bucs could make it all the way. Brady did not have an outstanding game yesterday, but he avoided making any critical mistakes and made enough good throws to take advantage of the turn overs.

If Brady does get 7, I hope he becomes forever meme'd with Ariana Grande and her 7 Rings song.

I don't see Tampa beating a healthy KC or Buffalo both of which should have the "bulk-beef" to stand up to them ... otherwise I agree.

KC or Buffalo would definitely be the favorite. Really too bad that Mahomes got the concussion, kind of casts a doubt on things if the Bills win. Like I said, the Bucs would have to have a great effort on both offense and defense to beat either, but they did come within 3 points of the Chiefs in the regular season.

A little yellow laundry certainly is useful for Tom to polish his new ring and trophy.

Beating KC or Buffalo is a mighty tall order for any team this year but I now give Tampa an outside shot with their size on D ... GB OTOH I can't see having a prayer since they would need to try to out-score either AFC opponent.

The only way I see GB having a chance in the Superbowl would be Rogers having the game of his life.
Aaron Rogers has it in him. He can be a monster. I've known this since he played USC in the L.A. Coliseum, QB for Cal. I was listening to the game on the radio and he completed IIRC his first 22 pass attempts. Not only accurate with a great arm, but very quick delivery. And ice water in his veins. He should be comfortable at Lambeau. Tom's used to cold. Next weekend should be great, better than this last one. Sad to see Brees go out on such a sour note. I don't root for Tom, but can't help admiring him. I'm wondering if Mahomes is OK.

Tom Brady is 14-2 in the divisional round.

FOURTEEN AND FUCKING 2 IN THE DIVISIONAL ROUND.

That stat is fucking unreal.

The fucking Redskins last 2nd round APPEARANCE was in 2005 and of course they lost.
They're no longer the Redskins, they're the Washington Football Team. ;)

At least they had the good sense to get rid of Kirk Cousins, although this year they probably wish they had him back.

The play that knocked out (almost literally) Mahomes yesterday mystified me. I didn't see a hit to the head. How was he concussed?

Latest that I have seen is that he did not have a concussion, but "tweaked" a nerve in his neck. I guess that is good news??????
Anyway, like I said before, a terrible, terrible play call to put him at risk like that when they only needed a yard or two, and IIRC, they were already leading.

Could still be a spinal concussion.

The toe injury might reduce his effectiveness a bit even if his brain and spine are fine. Won't matter if he is kept clean, but if Buffalo can dirty his jersey, his effectiveness could gradually get reduced.

Yeah, because Cousins took the Vikings to the promised land this year...

Yes the completely botched it by franchise tagging him. Had they signed him for like $15 million a year or so instead of franchising him I would have been more than happy with that. But paying him the salary that the Vikings did was so stupid. Diggs got out of dodge and now look at him - he's in a conference championship came and Cousins will be watching him on TV. Good riddance to Cousins.

Cousins will always be his own worst enemy. The FOX broadcast during the Christmas game stated he was "tightly wound", and that's exactly what a team doesn't need from their QB.

Cousins had to be very well surrounded for the Redskins for him to perform. Desean Jackson as the deep threat and Pierre Garcon as the tough receiver, and Jamison Crowder as a decent 3rd guy.

But never did many fans ever felt that he ever fully had grasped the QB position, and he certainly never pulled a Heinicke-grade performance....

I have ripped Cousins plenty, and definitely think it was a mistake for the Vikings to sign him for such a huge contract, and even worse to give him an extension. I only made the comment about the WFT because they had such a revolving door at QB this year.

GB could easily win next week if Rogers can stay on his feet long enough to get rid of the ball ... Tampa winning would still be an upset.

Brady may be used to playing in cold weather but the rest of the team is still from Tampa. Despite the heat-pipes in the field which keep it from REALLY being the rock like "frozen-tundra" of old, GB is still pretty freaking cold in winter and the Packers are used to it.

Yeah I don't think Rodgers is going to throw 4 pics and gift 20 points to TB like the short dude did. Brady didn't really do much last week and other than relatively good defense, which was really just catching balls thrown at them like they were on offense, there isn't a lot to like about Tampa's chances if going by that performance. Also, GB isn't going to rely on a backup QB to come in and throw the ball for more than 10 yards on a high school trick play to score a TD.

I dunno, ask Peyton Manning.

Dude yanked back on Mahome's neck as he was pulling him down and flipping him over on that tackle. The crown of his head also got driven into the turf a bit. Maybe didn't look like much, but there was a lot of force exerted on his head and neck at that moment, and all of it in not-good directions.
