You were wrong to claim that the assumption it was political was unwarranted. Because based on the known facts, it was obvious. There was a small chance it was otherwise, but there is no point in getting hung up on small chances.

You are entitled to your opinion....

And we're "entitled" to lose respect for yours sorry. :(

Might as well claim you were "not sure" that beating your head against a wall would lead to a headache.

Since as I said I KNOW you're not stupid or ignorant what option for your motivation does that leave? Might want to take a look.

Wait until Trump goes to prison. I've already heard stories of "MAGAt Martyrs" strike teams that have vowed to bust him out of any facility, and are training for that very purpose.

The mind boggles. Regardless of whether such 'stories' have anything real behind them, or, if they do, regardless of whether such self-styled 'strike teams' are fantasists or conceivably capable of accomplishing such a task, just the nature of Trump himself makes that a comical proposition to imagine. He's really not an 'action hero' kind of guy.

Funny.... I always hear about how "dangerous" New Haven is for example and yet in the 30+ years I've lived here I've witnessed or been a victim of violence/theft exactly ZERO times.

95% of the street-crime in this area (and in most major cities) takes place in only a few of the poorest neighborhoods and is directly related to drug-use/sales and poverty.

So.... crime isn't actually higher where there's more people/greater population-density that's your point?

:p

Want to buy a bridge ??

How does the above make ANY point about crime rates in cities at all?

You've only confirmed the accuracy of the CDC map.

Crime is higher in cities because cities tend to have a more transient and less-settled population than small towns or rural areas. I think that's more of a factor than population density as such.

"according to 1995 statistics from the Uniform Crime Reports, in U.S. metropolitan areas, homicide claims 11 victims per 100,000 inhabitants and more than 25 per 100,000 in some of the largest cities. In small cities and in rural counties, homicide claims only 5 victims per 100,000, and fewer than 2 per 100,000 in our most rural states" (Federal Bureau of Investigation).

"This pattern also occurs for robbery and assault; they are much more common in large urban areas than elsewhere"

(law.jrank.org)

Again having lived in both rural AND urban areas I already knew that anyone claiming violent crime-rates in rural areas were as high or higher as in cities was 100% completely full of crap but still.

All the crazy conspiracy stuff including Mike Lindell!

From CNN

Suspect in Pelosi's attack posted multiple conspiracy theories
From CNN Investigates Casey Tolan, Curt Devine, Daniel Medina and Majlie Kamp and Paul Murphy
The man who allegedly attacked Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband early Friday posted memes and conspiracy theories on Facebook about Covid-19 vaccines, the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 attack, and an acquaintance told CNN that he seemed “out of touch with reality.”

David DePape, 42, was identified by police Friday as the suspect in the assault on Paul Pelosi at the speaker’s San Francisco home.

Two of DePape’s relatives told CNN that DePape is estranged from his family, and confirmed that the Facebook account – which was taken down by the social media company on Friday – belonged to him.

His stepfather, Gene DePape, said David DePape grew up in Powell River, British Columbia, and left Canada about 20 years ago to pursue a relationship that brought him to California.
“I really don’t know what to think,” the suspect’s uncle, Mark DePape, said of his nephew’s alleged attack on Pelosi. “Hopefully it’s a scam. I don’t want to hear something like that.”

Last year, David DePape posted links on his Facebook page to multiple videos produced by My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell falsely alleging that the 2020 election was stolen. Other posts included transphobic images and linked to websites claiming Covid-19 vaccines were deadly. “The death rates being promoted are what ever ‘THEY’ want to be promoted as the death rate,” one post read.

DePape also posted links to YouTube videos with titles like “Democrat FARCE Commission to Investigate January 6th Capitol Riot COLLAPSES in Congress!!!” and “Global Elites Plan To Take Control Of YOUR Money! (Revealed)”

Two days after former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of killing George Floyd, DePape wrote that the trial was “a modern lynching,” falsely indicating that Floyd died of a drug overdose.

He also posted content about the “Great Reset” – the sprawling conspiracy theory that global elites are using coronavirus to usher in a new world order in which they gain more power and oppress the masses. And he complained that politicians making promises to try to win votes “are offering you bribes in exchange for your further enslavement.”

Most of the public posts on DePape’s Facebook page were from 2021. In earlier years, DePape also posted long screeds about religion, including claims that “Jesus is the anti christ.” None of the public posts appeared to mention Pelosi.

Paywall... too bad looks like an interesting read. (although AGAIN if they are going by CDC stats it will only confirm what I already said)

Sadly violent crime is up nearly everywhere but having personally spent a lot of time in both cities and rural areas I can PROMISE you that the chances of getting mugged/robbed/shot in a big city vs out in "the sticks" are literally exponentially higher.

The big brain move is to deny this even happened. Was clearly an inside job setup by Pelosi herself, just to make Republicans look bad.
Yup, that's what they're going with.
Granted, that's their excuse for virtually EVERYTHING, especially Jan 6th. Just recycled gutter brains.

The Rubio "canvasser" story still has something to it. He is a known white supremacist and didn't tell police the beating was politically related until after the initial tweets from Rubio indicated it was. I'm guessing someone objected to his actions and that's why he caught the beat down.

Hard to compare that to what happened in the home of a super high profile politician with a hammer.
Rubio's canvasser fucked around and found out.

More "facts:"

WashingtonCNN —
The man who assaulted Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, tried to tie him up “until Nancy got home,” according to two sources familiar with the situation. When the police arrived, the assailant was saying he was “waiting for Nancy.”

Paul Pelosi was attacked with a hammer at the couple’s home in San Francisco by a male assailant early Friday morning, law enforcement sources told CNN. The assailant who attacked Paul Pelosi was searching for the speaker of the House, according to a source briefed on the attack. The intruder confronted the speaker’s husband in their San Francisco home shouting, “Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?” according to the source.
