... But it is quite apparent that the so-called right recently has had a marked upward surge in the namecalling bracket...
Not that I have anything to say regarding the OP, but this little tidbit amused me. The right has surged in their namecalling? Every time I visit this forum there seems to be some hip new slang for Republican. Neocon, brown shirt, freeper, just to name a few. These names are liberally (pun intended 😉) applied to anybody who disagrees with the liberati around here. There's plenty of namecalling on both sides.

I don't bother with the hip new monickers. I call fascists what they are, fascists.

QFT.

Oh, and nice way to address the facts.

Having a hard time coming up with an explanation for why, in a supposed democracy, a U.S. president would sign an executive order to act in complete secrecy?

Or why he would fail to react to natural and man-made disasters?

Or why he would veto money to protect and support our troops in Iraq just so he can continue to use illegal torture?

Proof of ANYTHING.......? I thought so. You never do.......I get it, you hate Bush.

Sometimes the unwary and naive follow along, but the rest are not fooled. Thetruth is only that you hate Bush, and anything that suits your self righteous hate of him is food for your soul. You danced with glee in these forums to hear about car bombings, Plames outing etc., and the North Korean threats.. Yet you were totally silent about Libyas virtual bloodless surrender, Schroeder replacement, Anans scandals, Chiracs lost election and Saddams ousting; Syrian pullout etc.

Address Bush's Executive Order 13233.

Address Bush's economic incompetence which has led to America's inablility to respond to man-made or natural disasters.

Address Bush's threatened veto of funding for support of our troops in the Middle East because he refuses to stop supporting torture.

Thx.

Still no explanation from any of you Bushies?

No defense for the indefensible?

What's wrong, Bushies? Even you people, who have found ways to excuse all manner of lies and misconduct, can't find a way to excuse Executive Order 13233? Or the Bush created inablility of America to even provide basic disaster response to their own? Or Bush's failure to support our troops because he considers torture more important than authorizing money for their support?

You people are disgusting.

Give them time--Rush hasn't come out with today's talking points yet 😀

BBond,

That's not how you answer a question. You see in most every culture in the world, you answer a question with an answer.

Asking someone else to answer a question in lieu of your answer is unacceptable, and is not only proof of poor thought process, but is a likely indicator that you are unable to support your own accusations...

You see, when you support the accusations, people can respond. More accusations do not require a response. It's how conversation (instead of shrill screaming) works.

Stop tap dancing.

Answer these questions.

Why would George W. Bush sign Executive Order 13233?

Why would Bush promise billions to NYC and the Gulf Coast and then fail to deliver?

Why would Bush threaten to veto funding for our troops in Iraq rather than stop using torture?

And how can ANYONE defend these actions?

There is nothing to excuse. He is properly performing the duties of President and all the responsibilities of the position.

Once again I ask for the proof (not opinion) to you own baseless accusations. YOU are the accuser, and it is up to YOU to support the wild claims. Nobody is guilty until the prosecution rests and the defense answers. You haven't started showing anything but the charges.

Proof: Bush signed Executive Order 13323.

Proof: In Bush's America, we can't afford disaster response.

Proof: Bush has threatened to veto appropriations for his occupation of Iraq -- to NOT SUPPORT OUR TROOPS WHO HE PUT IN HARMS WAY -- because he refuses to relinquish torture.

Facts included in op-ed pieces are still facts. Address the facts. You refuse to because Bush's actions are indefensible.

Irony: full of iron.

The articles raise valid and disturbing points. It's no wonder why some won't even address those points.

To address these points is to admit the utter and complete dishonesty and failure of the Bush adminsitration.

But hey, judging by recent polls America is admitting that anyway.

BBond,

perhaps you don't understand what I was asking. Repeating opinions or posting links of others still does not explain your own POV, which is what I was truly wanting to hear. This is a perfect opportunity to let us all know your thought on these three matters that you keep talking about. I am aware of he opinions and thoughts of the authors of the articles to which you linked, but not yours.......

"Facts" are not proof, merely evidence of something. Once explained that "something" can be good or bad. You still have not explained YOUR opposition to these "facts" to explain to use in your OWN words your opposition.

Maluckey,

You're being ridiculous. Facts are facts. They tell us about what kind of people are "leading" us.

Bush is a man who, in his own words, would rather have a dictatorship as long as he's the dictator. That's why everything is a secret in Bush's administration. What possible excuse could a president have for maintaining such secrecy in a "democracy"? NONE. There is no excuse for the type of Brave New World secrecy of the Bush administration. How can that be good or bad for a democracy?

Nations that operate under this type of "leadreship" are not democracies. They are dictatorships and that is precisely what Bush and his fascists want.

Why don't you give us all an explanation of why any president would sign Executive Order 13323 instead of ignoring the facts and replacing them with your comic drivel?

The opinions of the authors notwithstanding, Bush signed 13323, Bush's policies have brought America to the level of a third world nation in disaster response, and now Bush threatens to veto funding for our troops in the battlefield because he refuses to relinquish torture.

How can anyone explain away or defend THOSE FACTS?

😕

That's definitely sig material.

It must be a Bushie thing. Like Iraq. Never let facts stand in the way of your agenda or war profiteering. After all, if the facts become a large enough problem, you can always make every piece of paper in Washington DC top secret. As long as those billions keep rolling in and using torture is more important than financing our troops in the field.

:cookie: for an absurdly, comprehensively vapid troll post. I thought you prided yourself on being a Christian, yet here you are reveling in the "agony" of another person. How do you reconcile that?

Well, the catholic church does condone killing someone if it will save more peoples lives. There's got to be something somehere allowing torture if the info from it does more good.
