this thread confuses me.

waffles are better than pancakes in every conceivable way.

who's ever heard of pancake ala mode?

The best waffles and best pancakes are about equal.

Don't use any of that nasty corn syrup crap, though. Only real maple syrup, honey, or confectioner's sugar (in order of preference).

We have reached the pinnacle of waffles. /thread

the fuck you have

nuts do NOT BELONG IN FOOD especially with waffles. I also question the nanners.

also Ihop waffle toppings are gross. waffles need 1 topping. Syrup

That is the problem with waffles, you got to put all kinds of crap on them to cover up the yucky french man goo taste of the waffle.

Don't eat vietnamese/thai food then cuz peanuts are basically abused

sorry you don't understand the awesomeness of nuts

i actually love nuts, i just hate when they are used in food. nuts ruin things like cookies/brownies/salads/....... you get the idea

Indeed, Maple is hands down the best, but it is $$$

If you're just looking for a sugar fix (and lets face it, anyone that chooses waffles over pancakes isn't that discerning anyway) Log Cabin will do.

don't drench with maple syrup. Just use a little.

so fail 🙁 nuts add a textural contrast that cannot be found elsewhere. My GF is allergic to peanuts, and everytime I eat thai/vietnamese food I crave it so bad.

oatmeal raisin
chocolate macadamia
walnut

don't like any of those cookies?

OK cookies was a bad example

1) there are no nuts in an oatmeal raisin cookie
2) yes
3) never seen a walnut cookie. not a real walnut fan however

however i really do dislike them in other food like salads, i disslike them in Asian dishes, i HATE almonds in green beans, seriously someone should be kicked in the nuts for that. almost as bad as raisins in meatloaf

i love toasted and salted nuts by themselves or in trail mix. yes i know im strange

My wife brought home a box of frozen Aunt Jemima waffles the other day. I almost beat her to death with the box in disgust (note: this is merely a joke, and not a suggestion of violence against women).

How can anyone, when facing a frozen breakfast section containing both Aunt Jemima and Eggo waffles choose... Aunt Jemima?!?!?

Hopefully I can feed them all to the dog while she's not looking and go get a box of Eggos.

When I visited Vegas, I ate just that thanks to everyone here recommending it.

I thought it was okay at best, especially at like $18. Waffle wasn't hot enough or fresh. I can get a better off-the-press hot wallfes at my college cafeteria.

Walnuts didn't blend well with the waffles. I felt like I was eating them separately.

Every single package of Oatmeal Raisin cookie you buy will have a phrase akin to "May have come into contact with nuts during manufacturing" printed on it :awe:

what do you mean almond in green beans? as in a mix?
