People have limited time, they want to hit Instagram,Snapchat,TicTok, Twitter, leave a heart, maybe a quick comment & consider their social media obligations done for the day.

Visiting message boards for pleasure, spending hours in discussions isn’t fun for those people...a pity really, they are missing out

Also, forget P&N my Oncologist advised me to avoid places that give me massive anxiety...so I do, bring on the cat videos on YouTube please :)

Doesn't help that so many of us are doing a majority of our posting time from mobile devices and advertisements have made this place unusable on mobile.

I learned about them from ads. Never used it. One ad had a cosplay singing video that was outstanding cosplay.

Yeah I learned about it some time ago from people sharing on FB. Still don't care enough to learn more about it other than it appears be like Twitter Vine's.

Seriously. My success rate in loading this forum on my phone without some full-page, impossible to close ad is like 25%. It’s absurd.

Same. I can't even load ATOT without an ad overtaking my browser. Yea, I could use Tapatalk, but I don't want too.:mad::mad:

We also need the old crew back!

I've always used ad blockers for almost 20 years I think. On mobile I went from Adblock Browser to Firefox with an Adblock plugin. That sounds horrible! :( I hope I never have to see it. ;)

Still have the problem of not being able to type landscape. The sticky header takes up the whole screen. I usually type blind, and try to fix it afterward. I don't like portrait orientation.

I downloaded Samsung's web browser on my LG so I could use an ad blocker to view this site. Mobile chrome has no such thing.

You're right, it gets hijacked 80% of the time on a browser with no ad blocker.

These forums have declined. The fact that I can't explain as to a reason why, just proves that point. I rarely come here anymore, only when I'm very bored and have nothing else left.

Still browse for technical stuff, but much less personal things anymore.

Is this on Android? Couldn't find and adblocker for FF on IOS.

What about for Dolphin? (if that's even on iOS, not sure)
I imagine there may be some plugin differences for browsers on the different platforms, especially because Apple can be quite persnickety about these things. I could see Apple preventing browser plugins altogether, or otherwise app plugins that operate separately from the App Store.

Firefox on ios is just a skin over whatever their rendering engine is, so their users don't get the full experience. Blame Apple.

Damn that sucks, but makes sense in the ways of Apple. They want control of rendering on their device, presumably for better security, and also lock-in.

my solution is to never deal with internet stuff or websites or anything like that on my phone. I mean...who wants to try and read this kinda crap on their phone? seriously. I don't get it.

A lot of humans today are weird.
