But sweet gun anyway. I like savoyboy's, it looks like an AK should look :D :D

OP - epenis + 10 feet.

heh considering i would use a .22 pellet gun to hunt rabbits and it would do some damage i would really hate to see what a more powerfull weapon does to the poor rabbit.

Sigh now if i could find a good .22 to kill cans/paper with i would be happy. someone sale me a good one cheap!
you can get ruger 10/22s for about $150, and that's an excellent 22. i'm thinking about getting one myself.

QFT - my dad sold his old 10/22 but my buddy grabbed one, hell of a fun gun to tinker shoot with when you don't feel like spendin money on larger caliber ammo.

OP and others, where do you buy your ammo online? Typically i just get mine when the local sporting goods store has them on sale, but never looked online.

Fine. Let me rephrase. At least the main purpose of a car or a computer (or American Idol) isn't to kill at long range.
so?

Saying that the purpose of a gun is to kill is the same as saying that the purpose of a car is to drive to granny's for thanksgiving. It's a particular possibility, but the car is a tool with many "purposes" - as is the gun.

stfu hippie. find another thread to troll.

Owning a firearm does not mean that one is obsessed with violence.

What does owning an AK-47 and fourteen magazines tell you about that person?

that he doesn't want to reload mags at the firing range.

It tells me nothing. I own an AK-47, with 15 30 round mags, 1 75 round drum, and I have 2000 rounds of ammo AFTER they are fully loaded sitting around.

<-----Cop.

What does it say about you when you want to take away someone's freedom without just cause?

Anyway I suggest anyone going prairie dog hunting try using a .223 Its not overkill and its just right:D

People saying they use 22s on prairie dogs and can hit them at 400+ yards are just full of you know what. Also even if you do hit the prairie dog it normally doesn't die... its just wounded which is not very ethical in my opinion.

Also its a good thing people can own guns. If not the government theoretically could take us over! ^ ^ Yes I know its a far far stretch:)

Well, you CAN...you just have to shoot WAY above the target to get enough loft, and hope there isn't a breath of wind around :p

I was surprised by how much a .22 round would drop at 200 yards when I was first shooting...I'd always thought you just aimed straight at the target, unless you were some kind of sniper shooting from miles away.

That really got me too, unlike FPS games, aiming in the real world is a little bit different :).

an AK that stays in the semi-auto configuration? lame.;)
Only half his mags are full. He needs the single pull so he does not "waste half his ammo while Mr. I Hate America shoots his" junk off. :p

if they are saying 22cal then they could be meaning 223/22-250, etc. the heavier 223 rounds like 69+grns will go the distance, be accurate and still have enough energy to pop the little fellas

Why are people obsessed with geeky stuff like computers?

At least nobody dies by computers.

look, first off your logic sucks. thousands of people die each year by car, should we get rid of them?

secondly, it's been proven time and time againt hat gun control doesn't work. look at chicago and washington DC. highest murder rates in the US but they have a citywide ban on firearms. coincidence? heppenstance? i think not.

Your logic makes no sense. Are you saying that gun owners want guns is because they want to kill someone?

A rifle becomes deadly if it falls into an irresponsible hand. A 5000 pounds vehicle traveling at 40mph is just as deadly if it falls into an irresponsible hand.

No, I'm saying that gun owners want a gun because it makes them feel powerful to know they own a piece of equipment that is meant to kill.

i own guns for protection and a hobby. my pocket knife, hands, baseball bat, plastic bag, ax or even a ballpoint pen can kill somebody.

Guys, quit feeding the troll ;)

Maybe he'll go away

As for the poster lookin for a .22, just go to Wallymart. Even a $100 Savage (come with scope) bolt action is pretty accurate. I really enjoy the little level action .22's, great for plinking.

If want something advertised as highly accurate, just pick up almost any gun mag and look at the ads.

For .22 ammo, Walymart is the place to go. If you're looking for other calibers - best place is through companies that sell direct to dealers. They don't require you to have a license if you're just ordering ammo. They'll ship it to you direct with no paperwork.

If you're looking for that type of ammo (.38, .44, AK stuff etc.) PM after 3/15 and I'll see if I can hunt up some info for you.
