seriously though, how much did it cost?

totals so far:
Rifle: (romanian SAR-1) - $300
Trigger: (tapco G2 dual hook) - $35
Stock: (Bulgarian black plastic) - $70
Upper handguard: (vented) - $25
Side Rail scope mount - $35
optic: (Hakko Tacpoint) - $85
Magazines: 2 came with the rifle, 4 were ordered online for $20, 2 were bought at a gunshow for $15 each, 6 came without payment or recollection of ordering
Ammo: 1,000 round wolf case from gander mountain - $139, case of monarch from academy ~$150

what made you chose an ak over an ar-180 or m16?

How much work did it take to illegally modify it for full-auto operation?

Frankly, putting a scope on it seems a little...optimistic.

illegally modify for full auto? what the hell are you talking about? it's a semi auto rifle.

and it's not a scope, it's a red dot optic. no magnification.

i fire at 50 yards. the red dots are for quick target aquisition, not for accuracy.

i guess. I'd prefer not spending 10 years in prison and paying the government $250,000 just so i can have a "full auto" rifle.

14 is enough. Just get some stripper clips and an mag adapter and you're more than set. Now you just need about few 1000 rounds of 7.62x39mm

You can get title 3 registered. Involves some finger printing, background check, registration of the title3 item. More work than its worth in my opinion. I have no place to shoot full auto around here.

+ They know what you have and will violated your 2nd amendment rights first.

it's rediculous. I know the process and i'm not willing to go through it. I don't want to deal with the ATF.

Been meaning to get one to complete the 7.62x39 collection. Where'd you pick your AK up?
