Maybe 15 years ago, I don't think the current music-consuming public bothers much with piracy anymore when there's Apple Music and YouTube and Spotify and Pandora etc etc.Ftfy

Never heard of Tool
Did you two just straight up sleep through the 90's? You couldn't turn on the radio without hearing Tool for a while.I've never heard of "Tool" either. But looking at their videos they are some screwed up dudes. Seriously screwed up.

Well I'm not one to buy expensive Status Symbols shoes, and I didn't even own a cell phone until 2010, and why are you showing us a glass of water for?Did you two just straight up sleep through the 90's? You couldn't turn on the radio without hearing Tool for a while.
Should we make a list of other ultra-popular things over the last few decades to see if you missed that too?

Because pump sneakers and razer phones were as ubiquitous as water during the 90's and early 00's. I'm as surprised that you haven't heard of those as I would be if you said you'd never heard of water.Well I'm not one to buy expensive Status Symbols shoes, and I didn't even own a cell phone until 2010, and why are you showing us a glass of water for?
Which stations were playing music by Tool? During the 90's I've lived in Illinois ~15 to 20 mins away from St Louis and doing so currently. And I mostly listened to Y98.1 at the time.Because pump sneakers and razer phones were as ubiquitous as water during the 90's and early 00's. Razr phones were not released until 2004. The late 90s belonged to StarTAC. The early 90s belonged to bag and brick phones.Because pump sneakers and razer phones were as ubiquitous as water during the 90's and early 00's. You were listening to an adult contemporary station in your 20s?Which stations were playing music by Tool? During the 90's I've lived in Illinois ~15 to 20 mins away from St Louis and doing so currently. And I mostly listened to Y98.1 at the time.

I started listening to 98.1 at 15.You were listening to an adult contemporary station in your 20s?
I know, I wasn't specifying 90's as the only time period that I was referencing, just generally referencing 90's and 00's which was generally the era that belonged to the rock music that Tool belonged to.Razr phones were not released until 2004. The late 90s belonged to StarTAC. The early 90s belonged to bag and brick phones.
Don't remember, I think 97.1? in the Dallas area. It's been a hot minute since I had to remember that channel number though. That was the normal 'rock/metal/modern' station around those parts. Nowadays I just listen to Tool mp3's (among others) or NPR. For some reason, whoever bought all the local radio stations in America has decided to only play trash on repeat so there's not much worth listening to anymore.Which stations were playing music by Tool? Kinda missed the whole "grunge" thing, huh?I started listening to 98.1 at 15.
Well the song sounds decent but I'm not really sure about the video, especially after the character open the sewage pipe and touching the shit going through it. Talk about disgusting.![]()
Grunge? What is Grunge?Kinda missed the whole "grunge" thing, huh?
I watched a friend and his family make beef sausages once. Damn near threw up as it really did look like shit going through the casings. That’s the bulk beef pipe

Most of the StarTACs were analog only (maybe the later versions supported digital as well). The coverage was awesome. I could enjoy conference calls from remote canyons.i remember those first motorola flip phones...it was like $80 for 60 minutes...back then, there was no data, no texting, no LTE, 4G, 5G, etc...
Not sure if serious.Grunge? What is Grunge?
Heh. Yeah, I bought the Closure VHS set back in the day, it has the video on it.Whatever you do don’t watch this.
same for anyone at work
Media auto embeds now I removed it
For those interested NiN Happiness in Slavery
Yeah so? Not every teen watched MTV during the 90's, and like I said I watched VH-1.Not sure if serious.
You were what, 17 in 1991?
I would still expect someone of that age to know what grunge was, even if they hadn't heard it personally. Just how socially isolated were you?Yeah so? Not every teen watched MTV during the 90's, and like I said I watched VH-1.
That wasn't until the late 90s though.By the 90s, MTV had already jumped the shark and VH1 was the channel for music.
