So now that we have discussed autism, assburgers, Taylor Swift's elbows, Tool being creepy, has anyone else in this thread listened to the new Tool album? :p

It's definitely better than album 10,000 Days (which I just didn't like), with the tracks Pneuma, Invincible, and 7emptest being the stand-out tracks to me. I still miss the "angry" Tool days of Undertow, Opiate, and Ænima. They definitely got way more prog-ish with the release of Lateralus back in 2001.

I haven't really listened to anything since Aenima--well, I guess there were a few songs from Lateralus in Guitar Hero: World Tour, so I heard those too. They're fine, nothing has really driven me to check out anything they've done since then.

Lol, that stare down is pretty brutal.

Taylor swift is ok looking, sort of weaselly face and not as much T&A as I prefer. She has a very middle america, country music star look. And obviously those pointy elbows aren't helping her...
Taylor swift T&A looks fine to me and what pointy elbows? Everyone's elbows are pointy if they bend their arms. Are pointy elbows a Cultural Reference I'm not getting?

Taylor Swift is a perfect example of the "ME ME ME!" generation.
Not the ONLY example, just the perfect one.

Wow, Aenemia was one of the first albums I bought (along with Dookie and RATM's self titled).

Haven't listened to the whole album, but the songs I've listened to are alright. Used to really enjoy their music when I could just lay in bed with some headphones and zone out for an hour or two.

Nowadays, it just feels like their music drags, and their pseudo intellectual fanbase are borderline toxic (although a lot of fanbases can be that way, nothing really unique to tool).

I may pick it up some day, and I do go back and listen to Lateralus every once in a while...

I use to work for Motorola in IL. and worked on the StarTac's before the manufacturing plant shut down....good times. Working on those phones was my 1st job out of school. On a related note the last concert I saw with Tool when they opened the Resch center near Lambo Field in 2002.

I wasn't talking to you for that part of the post, you probably have pcgeek11 on ignore so my quote of his post didn't show up?

Oh goddamnit you're right. Apologies. Although me poking fun at your square insult still stands!

tl;dr Why are people interested in things that I'm not interested in? :p

Every once in a while there's an artist that blows everything else out of the water. Ever hear of Michael Jackson?

Who said I wasn't interested? I really don't get this weird assumption about whatever it is you think I'm saying. The thing is, he wasn't the only one selling albums by the tens of millions back then. Hell there were years that Michael released albums and wasn't the best selling artist (I think Thriller was the only one he dominated, which did well enough he dominated 83 and 84 with it). There were multiple musicians almost every year from like the 70s through the very early 2000s selling tens of millions. Then the industry died, and now Gadelezilla is stomping the shit out of everyone.

Someone who sold a lot more albums than Tool.

:D

Agreed.

Was that her right before she was murdered by that guy?

So pathetic bitch that struggles with reading it is then.

I would say I'm curious what set you off as this is like the 2nd post of mine that you've gone out of your way to remark about in just the saddest insolent manner, like I fucked your girlfriend, but then whatever, already wasted more time responding to your bitchass than you warrant, so instead I'll just leave with this (which is fitting, since you apparently need to visit his school):

OP, stay out of the Apple store. Taylor Swift's likeness is the background image on every single device. Truth be told, it was kind of creepy.

Stop embarrassing yourself, a sad sack like you could never manage to insult me. You are the homeless man's poop in the flower bed of ATOT. You are constantly angry and unhinged, so even though you constantly shit in our bushes it's hard to blame you for it.

And most of them inhabit adult bodies.

So far i've only listened to the first 4 songs. Nothing great so far but i'll give it another try. Undertow is still my favorite.

This new album is surprisingly good. Listen too it on a big system so you get the full impact.

I'm much more into the lyrics and such and I gotta say... I dont care for the new album at all.... Like it's a big disappointment for me.

My favorite was actually probably 10,000 days. I can still listen to it all the way through.
