The Ultimate Is Coming(Nvidia)

I have been waiting for shield v2 I hope that this is actually what this announcement is. I know they haven't had great success in the tablet and phone market, I was worried they would cancel this project.

2 very likely possibilities:

1. Gimmicky marketing crap that no one gives a rat's ass about in a few months.
2. A gaming tablet that will bomb.

If not either then I'll be surprised.

If Maxwell 2nd gen is being launched in Nov as rumored, I doubt this is related. It's probably the Shield tablet with the Tegra K1, if I had to guess.

It's tenderloin steak and all the dressings you want sandwiched between two Geforce 780 Ti's.

Subway watch out!

Look at the background behind the counter. Notice the holes.

Look at this picture of the upcoming Nvidia Shield tablet. Pay attention to the speaker holes...

Hardcore 3D gaming on a tablet with a controller? Automatic fail if true. What are we back to 1960s playing with a controller on an 8 inch "TV"? Shield already failed. I would be more excited about K1 in some flagship smartphone for its CPU performance or the next Amazon Kindle.

Trying to compete against Amazon Kindle in the budget/mid-range space and against iPad Air 2 and next gen Mac Mini will be extremely hard since most people could care less about Tablet gaming (is this thing made by HTC too?)

Would have been a huge win if NV got a spot in the next Amazon Kindle HDX. If this is made by HTC, it also a strange decision since they are struggling in the smartphone space and in the tablet space they are even more irrelevant.

Looks like a nice tablet, and not expensive by Nvidia standards. I really don't understand the whole tablet gaming thing though-- maybe I'm just too old for it.
