You've got cute kittens?where?..... (looks for link) [edit] none on this page, where's the links?
BOINC is getting incredibly frustrating in the fact that it won't quit when it is supposed to. I set to program to quit crunching after I close the program, yet all cores are still at 100% and the program is still running. I have to go through and kill everything manually every time I need to use my computer for something that requires some power or speed. :|
I know, I shouldn't be doing anything that takes away from my crunching... But still.
Hmmm, change your setup so that the cores quit if you touch the keyboard ...
Open BOINC manager
Click on Advanced
Click on Preferences
Check that the Computing allowed boxes ("While computer is on batteries", "While computer is in use" and "Use GPU ....") are all empty.
Set the value for "Only after the computer has been idle for: minutes" to 0,5 or 1.0.
Now the apps show no activity ... and you have to waít for 30 - 60 seconds without touching your keyboard before they resume activity ...
Now you should have all the power you need ...it works well for me.
Damn Star Trek (the new one) is a good flick. If anyone hasn't seen it, I highly recommend it.
The kittens look like tiny white lion cubs.
