I hear this talked about and discussed all the time (mostly by women) at work. If you've ever wondered why for the most part the answer is men have unnaturally strong sex drives. I've talked to friends, coworkers and relatives who's cheated on their S.O's or either came close to it and for the most part it all boiled down to wanting to enjoy sex with another person other than the one they normally sleep with.
Personally I've never cheated on my wife but I can sometimes relate to why someone would cheat. Its not that there's an agenda to hurt the one you're with but its more of an urge to satisfy a physical craving. Its almost like people who long for sweets, sure you don't need it but its an pleasurable indulugence.
I love my wife and I would'nt dream of hurting her by swinging with other women, but I'll be honest if our society viewed sex differently and it was ok to pursue sex outside of a marriage I would do it. Again its not that you're trying to disrespect your loved one but its a matter of experience.
Variety is what makes life so enjoyable, people don't limit themselves to one kind of food, one friend or only one style of music. People don't usually wear the same clothes everyday of the month or watch the exact same movie or television program over and over. So why would sex be the exception to this rule? Sure there's a special bond between two people who love each other and it expressed at times through lovemaking, but the same can be said for engaging conversations.
