You know guys, we have this whole big console gaming forum, we don't have to post in the "official" Wii thread anymore.

I haven't tested it yet, but I've read rumors on other boards that the new firmware lets the fan run in standby mode so the Wii will not overheat.

Has anyone with WiiConnect24 on noticed the fan running, or that the console is now cooler after the firmware update?
