I've been to the best city in Australia - Canberra - and let me tell you Australia has NOTHING on the US. :awe:

Canada? The reason it's not a 51st state is because, well, it's freaking Canada...

That's right back the fuck off! :awe:

But really, the reasons Hamburgerboy mentioned are what make UK such a horrible place. Plus the houses are fail in almost everyway.

I'm a Brit and I love both the US and the UK. However I think Canada and Australia are cultural wastelands with nothing of value to offer the world.

Well, the UK did give the world Dr. Who, but America gave it Babylon 5, TNG, and Jedis, so America definitely wins.

The UK sucks, theres really no comparison since the US is the best country on Earth.

England is overrun by muslims, and you can't even own a decent firearm to shoot them with. My preferred weapons to engage muslims in combat are an M14 in .308 and a full size Kabar, or an AR-15 in .223 and a ESEE-6. My sidearm of choice is a Colt 1911. These are all illegal in the UK, so my muslim fighting capability would be greatly diminished. I don't know how well I would be able to do fighting muslims with a bolt action .22 and a blunt tip kitchen knife. I suspect I would be killed.

You are one fucked up troll.

I'm originally from the UK and have lived in the US for the last 13 years. Best points for both:

US: Weather (Phoenix, AZ), women who love my accent.
UK: Pubs, Indian Restaurants.

Property and self-defence rights are two rare political issues that get me honestly pissed off when I read about their neglect, and the UK fails massively in that regard. If I had significant money, I'd honestly rather live in Somalia and pay a bunch of swarthy thugs to shoot things with AK-47s than live in the UK. A million security cameras and websites where you can report your neighbour for anti-social behaviour aren't exactly minor either. Every time I read an article regarding that country I am disappoint.

yeah, i was listening to a story the other day about their public surveillance system. As they now have way too many public cameras to man--literally within every store, every street corner (this was a small London suburb, iirc), groups have taken to purchasing packages of cameras, and farm out the surveillance work to housewives and such.

basically, individuals volunteer to sit by their monitor for a shift, man about 4 cameras each (streamed to their home, or laptop). It is meant to deter theft. So, you have these private citizens, volunteering to watch you, and report any suspicious activity to the store or local constable or whatever.

'Tis a system guaranteed to bring abuse (feuding neighbors reporting erroneous crimes), and in my mind a huge invasion of personal freedom and privacy.

I honestly don't understand the type of person that sees this as a good thing.

Come to think of it, what's a good English beer? Or good and English and beer should not be in the same sentence?

The English are known for their Ales, and particularly their cask ales.

plenty of fine beers come out of England. Don't hate on a very, very important and worthwhile contribution to humanity.

They gave us all of them, including Pale and India Pale Ale.
