Trading in used games doesn't seem that big of a deal to me because I haven't been able to do so on steam and it hasn't been a big deal to me.

I love how the crowd just started cheering "SONY! SONY! SONY!" when they announced no DRM.

Microsoft is probably shaking in their boots.

Talk about your all time backfires! 😀
I hope MS brought drawing boards with them in the trucks, cuz they should be back at them right this second.

Looks like online play is behind PS+ now

Wow, Drive Club free game on launch for PS+

that was pretty unclear IMO this is from engadget

"PS4 gamers that aren't PS Plus members will be able to enjoy single player games for free, and access to all your media services won't require plus." Notably, multiplayer gaming wasn't on that list.

PS4 requires PS+ for MP. They're on par with MSFT now with that it seems like.

You seriously didn't expect it to be free forever? Those servers cost money to run haha. And also, smaller games don't have as many dedicated servers or as good of dedicated servers. So making sure Sony can manage that for them is definitely a +.
Expect an increase in the quality of multiplayer games online, which was a complain of a number of people in the past when comparing both consoles.

While I am against paying to be able to play online. Since I am a PS+ member smply due to the amazing value from games along it doesn't phase me as much, but still pisses me off. Hopefully it is just a typo. But I'll continue to buy the service due to how great it is.

It's no typo. MP on PS4 needs PSN+. However they draw you in by offering all the discounts and basically what amounts to free games.
