If Bernie gets the nomination, he likely loses ~35 states, down ballot suffers HEAVILY. House control goes back over to the republicans.

Bernie is literally the worst primary outcome possible. He won't win the states that went from Obama to Trump, he's really never done anything more than rename some federal buildings, he's not a democrat. And if, by some miracle, he does win, there's no way in hades anything he's proposing will ever get through congress.

Oh, and his ardent supporters are just this side of MAGAts. They're likely a huge reason we're in this fucking mess to anyway, with their "bernie or bust" shit from '16 and voting for Stein/Johnson/Wacko#3 in swing states.

Funny, Bernie's all for super delegates now. Seems he was singing a completely different tune last time around. I wonder why, why oh why?

Bernie just might be a work in progress.
As president I can see Bernie changing his tune on medicare for all, college for all, and changing his tune on many of his heart felt issues.
Yet.... we love him.
We love that white haired grumpy old man.
And remember, back in 2016 many of those that voted for Trump actually preferred Bernie Sanders over Trump.
Their first choice was Bernie Sanders and not Trump.
But then.... Hillary and the DNC FUC.....ED it up for Bernie Sanders.
And, I have this feeling that the 2016 DNC/Hillary bamboozling of Bernie Sanders was a lot more sinister and deeply rooted that we have yet to know. Much much worse than we can imagine. However, we will never know. What they did to Bernie Sanders back in 2016 will be forever locked away deep inside the DNC closet of skeletons.

But what I wanted to point out besides all of the above, I want to point out that if Soviets are claiming to help Bernie Sanders campaign then that alone is a Soviet distraction. For Soviets to claim that help, that is in itself their attempt to hurt Bernie Sanders. People undecided or not quite sure about supporting Bernie Sanders will look at that Soviet claim of support as suggesting Donald Trump wants Bernie Sanders to run against and suggests that Donald Trump would tear Bernie Sanders apart if it were Sanders vs Trump.

I SEE IT DIFFERENT.....
I think the Soviets in conjunction with the Trump administration are "pretending" Donald Trump wants it to be Bernie while in all truth Donald Trump is TERRIFIED of Bernie Sanders and that Sanders rebellion across America.
SEE HOW THEY TWIST THE TRUTH ??????
The Soviets claim they want Sanders so that Trump will win. So the Soviets give American voters the impression that Bernie Sanders is weak, and would lose and Trump would win.
NOT TRUE!!!

Like I said, and I'll repeat, Trump and Putin DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT Bernie Sanders as the nominee. So, they pretend to help Sanders only to give the illusion that Bernie Sanders would be weak and incapable of winning against Trump.
THE OLD SWITCHEROO as it were being pulled off by the Soviets and by X - KGB head Vladimir Putin.
REMEMBER, this is exactly how the KGB uses and creates mis-information. Soviets have a system of screwing with the brain. This claim of Soviet support for Sanders is exactly the type of upside-down mis-information and distraction/deception that Soviets are masters of pulling off.
DO NOT BE FOOLED PEOPLE.
Donald Trump is terrified of Bernie Sanders.

@JEDIYoda And do you not think the same applies to those that would vote for Trump over Sanders? Do you think their lives would be better under Trump?

The sad part was all the pearl clutching in the OP.

I'm looking forward to Bernie blowing up the Democrat Party.

I heard someone say that Bloomberg is looking to add Hillary as the VP pick.
Even better.
:D

if the past 45 presidents are any indication: The president of the United States has little to no influence over the political parties.

IMO all bets are off with the Democrats being willing to stand behind Bernie at all costs!
Also I believe if Bernie wins the nominations the Dems could lose the House and for certain the Senate is already lost with Bernie!
I see nothing but gloom and despair and agony if Bernie wins the nomination!
In fact if I may -- I believe a lot of people who would vote Democrat just won`t show up to vote at all!

Yes, pearl clutching.

Woe is me....................... We are doomed.

Well, you have opinions then you have votes.
Bernie Sanders is doing very well.
So, democrats are freaked because they fear Sanders could win the nomination but never win a general election.
Hmmmmm... did not republicans say the very same thing about Trump back in 2016?
Didn’t they say Trump could never win the debates?
Then after Trump won the debates they said Trump could never win the election?
That Hillary had it in the bag.
Didn’t they say that Donald Trump had no path to win?
Then and last but not least, did they not say the Republican Party would be greatly divided and in total disarray should Donald Trump win?
Well, so much for “didn’t they say.....”

Democrats rejoice.
Didn’t they say Bernie Sanders would never win?
And look where we are.... Look at Bernie Sanders performance.
Gee wiz, could it be that Bernie Sanders wins the primaries, then wins the nomination, then wins the whitehouse, and then the Democratic establishment falls in love with Bernie Sanders?
Exactly as with republicans and Donald Trump except this time it’s the Democrats turn.
Is there a movement out there for Bernie Sanders just as there was a movement for Donald Trump? A movement that hit out of the blue? A movement that will defeat Donald Trump
So I suggest to my democratic friends, rejoice.
Rejoice and embrace your next president Bernie Sanders.
Who says lightening doesn’t strike twice.

And I tell you, Donald Trump is absolutely terrified of Bernie Sanders.
Republicans are terrified of Bernie Sanders.
Trump pretends that he wants Bernie Sanders as his challenger but don’t you believe that. That faked hope is only Soviet election interference pushing Donald Trump propaganda plain and simple.
Trump pretends to want something that he doesn’t want.

And PS....
Where, you might ask, is this Bernie Sanders support coming from?
Well, I have a thought.
Maybe just maybe that Sanders support comes from those young folks that marched and rallied for gun control after school shootings.
Those same kids that were ignored by republicans in control.
Maybe just maybe that Sanders support comes from the very same crowd that just took back the US house.
Maybe just maybe that Sanders support comes from a very angry and pissed off youth who are tired of being ignored and tired of the same old shit.
And remembering how that power took back the house, and organized for gun control, I believe that same power can defeat Donald Trump and take back this republican senate.
Then, president Bernie Sanders along with his democratic house and senate can give us common sense gun control, healthcare for all, affordable college, and restore respect for law and institutions.

I heard this electability bullshit in 2016 and bought into it with Clinton and then she went and lost a bunch of lean Democrat states. I don't know how anyone can look at 2016 and think running an establishment candidate again in 2020 is a good idea. Early 2016 was a huge middle finger to the Republican establishment and November 9, 2016 was an even bigger one to the Democratic establishment. Is anyone going to seriously argue any different? Now after Clinton got destroyed in most of the rust belt blue firewall we're supposed to run another douchebag with close ties to Wall Street in Bloomberg and expect different? I don't understand this thinking at all.

Actually in 2018 more centrist democrats won than Bernie types.

Whether a candidate is centrist, or super progressive/liberal makes no difference, it’s the messaging and the candidates themselves that win elections.

If Bernie wins it won’t be because of his policies but because of his message and his character (which is the complete opposite of trumps character).

We have so much of a similarity in Trump and Sanders.
Both were dismissed as not plausible.
Both were thought of as the outsider.
And both were attacked by their respective establishments.
Trump rode his escalator, Sanders walks among the people.
Here is the problem....
The great crowds that Bernie is getting must also show up to vote.
Republicans can always count on loyalty even with a Donald Trump.
Democrats tend to not follow through. The assume others will do the heavy lifting.
If the Sanders supporters follow through and come out to vote then Bernie Sanders could actually win. But that is a big if, considering lazy Democrats.
Sanders will have Donald Trump to deal with, and the DNC as well.
The DNC could pose more of a problem for Bernie than Donald Trump.
I sure hope not, but I fear the DNC will hand Donald Trump his second term.
Then, the DNC will have the damn audacity to blame Bernie Sanders for Trump’s win.
And that will be the end of the Democratic Party, or it should be.

This is why I think he's got a shot.

Sanders appears to be mobilizing latinos, some of the African American vote that's not going for Biden, and tons of under 45s. Interesting reading some twitter and it seems that he is enjoying considerable support from Culinary Union members who's org opposes him because of M4A. It's possible that the prospects of that policy's actual weight on his candidacy could be subsantially oversold.

If Sanders or Warren get the nomination the amount of money corporate America funnels into this election to defeat them wi be staggering. If Mayor Pete the Buttplug gets the nomination, conservatives will flock to the polls and Africa Americans will stay home given the choice of voting for the buttplug or a Republican. The nomination of any of the three guarantees a Republican victory.

Homophobic slurs, meant in full earnest, are simply not welcome here.

This country needs a good ol' enema and Bernie is just the guy to do it.
I like Bernie's ideology, it's how he will implement it that's the problem. He's promising universal health care, student debt forgiveness, green new deal, without specific plans to pay for all of this. Don't get me wrong, our current insurance-based healthcare is a tragedy, people having to choose between medication and groceries is fucking pathetic in a country as rich as ours, I just don't see any easy path to uproot and discard the Cigna's/Humana's, ect. who have people like Moscow Mitch in their back pocket. Trump was here in Daytona last weekend, cars lined up all over to catch AF1 as it landed, they have many vids on you-tube screaming TRUMP!! as it touched down. One can tell these were not rich people protecting a flush stock market but hate-mongering racist idiots worshiping their idol.
