IMO all bets are off with the Democrats being willing to stand behind Bernie at all costs!
Also I believe if Bernie wins the nominations the Dems could lose the House and for certain the Senate is already lost with Bernie!
I see nothing but gloom and despair and agony if Bernie wins the nomination!
In fact if I may -- I believe a lot of people who would vote Democrat just won`t show up to vote at all!

The predictions above will take place anyway, and with or without Bernie Sanders participation. Democrats will play by the rules while Donald Trump morphs into a category 5 hurricane. Democrats won't know what hit them.
Donald Trump is developing an entirely new method of winning an election, don't you see? Kissing babies, knocking on doors, speeches, hand shaking, posters and bumper stickers... they are all out. Forget about all of that.
Donald Trump will wage an all out war against his opponents and that is how Donald Trump will win the election.
Hell.... knowing Donald Trump, he might eliminate the need to mark a ballot or cast a vote.
People have not a clue what they are in for.

Your right! But the thread is about Bernie and what I see are the problems with Bernie winning the nomination!

Oh, THAT.
I think the DNC owes Bernie a favor. And it will make the old guy happy. Bernie deserves to be happy just once.

Even if it was going purple in recent years anyway a Bernie nomination might help turn Texas Blue...

A slight majority of all Texas voters — 52% — said they would not vote to reelect President Donald Trump in November. Republicans remain solidly in his corner: 90% said they would vote to reelect Trump, including 80% who said they “definitely” would do so. Democrats feel just as strongly: 93% said they would not vote for the president’s reelection, including 88% who would “definitely not” vote for him. Independent voters were against reelection, but less so: 38% said they would vote to reelect Trump, while 62% said they would vote against him.

but Ok I'll humor you guys....

if Bernie is the nominee the moon will stop in its orbit and crash into the earth just before the sun collapses into a humongous black hole...

The sad part was all the pearl clutching in the OP.

I'm looking forward to Bernie blowing up the Democrat Party.

I heard someone say that Bloomberg is looking to add Hillary as the VP pick.
Even better.
:D
Did you know that Bloomberg (iirc) was a Republican longer than Donald Trump was a Republican? At least Democrats are beginning to understand whom they need to run the country............. Republicans.

People who gloat are worthless swine. I am in great danger of Sanders is our next President. I'm sure you understand it won't be danger from Socialism, but from unmitigated gloating.. Socialism, real socialism that addresses the fact that the wealthy own our democracy, and significant adjustments in income equality are required to save our country. This must be why all the self haters who harbor unconscious death wishes are so terrified of Sanders. Who the fuck who hates himself would like to see this country be a real democracy again. Think of how fucked up everything is right now and how happy that makes us.

Hey Mr. Moon! I may have a bit of fun with Bernie, but in my opinion he is the most honest and straight forward of any of the people running for the office. Bar none.

At the end of the day, whoever the nominee is will swing probably at most 2M out 125M votes. And the truth is nobody knows at this point who will swing them which way. I could see Bernie getting young people or I could see him turning off the purple states, probably some of both.

We'll see how it ends up, but I don't think they should give him the nomination if he ends up at like 30% and moderates won the other 70%. It should become a convention vote. To help preclude that from happening Biden needs to drop soon and people need to ignore Bloomberg. If Bernie, or Bernie+Warren get a majority, then he should be the nominee.

Stop being retarded.

If GOP can get in line for Trump, can you not get in line to replace RBG or will you hand it over to Trump?

A house divide cannot stand and Trump is still standing.. why?? Unity.

The problem I have with your post is that unity in and of itself isn't necessarily a good thing. The unity you describe here is tribal unity, so important to human survival in our evolutionary history, but which has, with modern American Conservatives, become an enormously dangerous thing.

There is something very ironic about what you are saying. In 2016 the claim went out only Sanders could beat Trump and when he lost the nomination it was that Clinton lost because of disgruntled Sanders voters. Now here you saying that if Sanders wins disgruntled moderate Democrats will torpedo any possibility that he can win against Trump. What this must mean of course, is that there are really three parties, right and left leaning Republicans and moderate progressives. How about, since everything has turned to shit under the first two, we give the progressives a shot at change.

No, the unity he described is similar to the unity the world had when they fought and defeated the nazis. The fact that you are concerned about the wrong kind of "unity" while our democracy faces not only a president who has upended norms and the rule of law but also a party that is complicit in it and that has destroyed a whole other set of rules and laws, tells me you are way past your prime as your mind seems incapable of comprehending the situation we are in.

I really hope you reread your reply to Indus and realize the utter horse shit you just posted.
