The problem I have with your post is that unity in and of itself isn't necessarily a good thing. The unity you describe here is tribal unity, so important to human survival in our evolutionary history, but which has, with modern American Conservatives, become an enormously dangerous thing.

We are at tribalism already.

There is progress and there is regress. We're regressing as a country. We've been lied to a shit lot and we have to compromise to come together and unite to stop it.

Do you want 6 or more hardcore SCOTUS that overturn everything not hardcore right wing?

People usually vote the lesser of two evils at elections if they aren't hunkered down. Do you really think this lying administration which is taking rights away is better than Bernie?

If Bernie wins this house will be divided!!!
It's already divided... as AOC said it doesn't make sense that people of her political views and those of Biden's political views are in the same party. And it's becoming more and more obvious that she is correct.
POLITICO (2020-01-06) "AOC: 'In any other country, Joe Biden and I would not be in the same party'."

Asked for a profile by New York Magazine about what role she might play as a member of Congress should Biden capture the White House, the freshman House Democrat from New York responded with a groan.
“Oh God,” she said. “In any other country, Joe Biden and I would not be in the same party, but in America, we are.”

A spokesperson for the Biden campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.

The writers of the Constitution while very smart were not perfect as today's political climate shows....

We'll see how it shakes out I guess.

if by revolution a-la-civil-war, i'm sure all those 2nd amendment folks would readily stand up to the US military

if by political/socioeconomic revolution, i agree entirely.

Bernie feels like this generation's Carter. I think he can be very strong in social issues but I'm curious about how he will handle international crises that might require military intervention.

I like him though and will gladly vote for him come November if he gets the nod.

The one guy in this race that really worries me is Bloomberg. That guy is basically Trump, except not a complete moron, and running as a Dem. If he gets the Dem nod, billionaires win no matter who wins the general.

We need to define win.

Is win 51% or more primary delegates

Is win 51% or more of the primary votes

Is a win 32% of the primary delegates when the next person has 31% of the delegates

Is a win having 32% of the primary vote totals and the next person having 31% of the primary vote totals?

"US Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg is considering choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate for 2020's elections, the Drudge Report reported. "
Team Trump looking for outside help again.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting you, but in today's climate, these types of posts seem to be saying, if Bernie wins the nomination, and the centrists fail to get behind him, its progressive's fault for nominating a progressive. On the other hand if a centrist wins and the progressives fail to get behind him, its the progressive's fault for not supporting the candidate.

No, the unity he described is similar to the unity the world had when they fought and defeated the nazis. The fact that you are concerned about the wrong kind of "unity" while our democracy faces not only a president who has upended norms and the rule of law but also a party that is complicit in it and that has destroyed a whole other set of rules and laws, tells me you are way past your prime as your mind seems incapable of comprehending the situation we are in.

I really hope you reread your reply to Indus and realize the utter horse shit you just posted.
If you were more moderate in the way you go about rebutting what you feel is an error, you wouldn't be so open to tempting people come back at you calling you an imbecile. I will just say then, having made that point sufficiently, that it is you who seems not to have read the post I quoted.:

A house divide cannot stand and Trump is still standing.. why?? Unity

So the unity that keeps trump standing is the unity of the Republican party, the kind of unity I described as dangerous.

I would love to see a Sanders Presidency and I am all in favor of voting for the lesser of two evils especially where the lesser is significant lesser. What I am opposed to is unity against common sense, facts, and truth. I want no part of such unity. There is no need for unity among people with good sense. It's a given.
