When I order a chicken sandwich, I always order it with cheese and bacon no matter which fast food place I'm at. They should have called it the The Ironwing.

I will make one sous-vide, deep-fried, with sodium citrate-melted cheese and name it in your honor.

lol Here's a new one:

I stopped by Wendy's today to grab some chili. When I got home and got it out of the bag you know what else was in there?

Loose individual crackers. Like 5-6 of them. Not the usual wrapped packages of two.

It's so bizarre that I'm not even going to overthink it. I'm just going to avoid that Wendy's from now on.

Do you think that's legal by fast food health codes?

I have no idea.

When I worked at the pizza shop, I'd sometimes have to run to the grocery store when we'd run out of stuff like green bell peppers. Probably not up to code lol.

Haven't have any fast food for the last few days because most of them shut down because of the weather/lack of water/electricity and if a few of them were opened, the lines were so long, all the way out to the road.

I got the Popeye's chicken sandwich, it was pretty good, I just wish they could make the breading spicy.
At $4 it blew away the Jack in the Box spicy chicken which was $6.19 and was insultingly small and I guess maybe it had a couple flakes of cayenne pepper in it? I honestly almost wonder if they gave me the wrong chicken patty.

Tried:
  1. New McDonald's Spicy Chicken Sandwich
  2. New McDonald's Deluxe Chicken Sandwich (lettuce, tomato, mayo)
Rating:
  • Meh
They were just oversized chicken nuggets. Nothing special about them. The outside was not very crispy, just kind of a thin shell of coating. But more soft than crunchy. Sauces were nothing special, which is odd because the new Spicy Chicken Nuggets with the Mighty Hot Sauce are actually pretty dang good. Missed opportunity for sure. They're not bad, but I'd never buy one again after having them once, because meh.

I was grocery shopping yesterday and my store had a bin full of Boston Market frozen meals on sale for $2 each, so I bought 4 of them. Swedish meatballs, sweet and sour chicken etc. They've never had them before.

Has anyone tried these? Should I prepare myself for disappointment? Are they on sale for a reason?

I think they're banking on the cachet the brand used to have, I tried the chicken parmesan one a few months back, and while it wasn't regrettable, I don't see myself buying another.

lol Not a glowing review, but at least it wasn't "Are you crazy?!?!? Throw those things in the garbage pronto!".

Swedish meatballs sounds good right now.

Yeah, I mean, it's not Banquet meal bad. Those are marginally better than not eating at all :p

Hey! I grew up eating Banquet fried chicken. And I liked it! :p

Stuff I ate growing up. I would never feed it to my daughter. We didn't have lot of money when I was growing up, and I was latchkey kid who didn't know how to cook so I ate lot of cheap frozen TV dinners. More than I should've. But I was always hungry so I ate everything.

Yeah, same, the box of Banquet fried chicken was a Sunday dinner treat from time to time.
But have you eaten a $1 Banquet meal produced in the last 10-15 years? I have, and it definitely tasted like regret.

I kinda like the Banquet tv dinners. It's one of those things that is what it is. They're objectively inferior to most other choices, but taken on it's own terms, I'm happy with them. Haven't gotten them in a long time, but I'd be more than happy to eat one.
