KFC’s Matty’s cheesy bowl is okay. It needs crisper fries though. The restaurant is playing contemporary Christian music which is really bad music.

Tried the spicy mac and chicken bowl and so much less chicken than in the photo. Liked the Nashville sauce though. Still gotta check the pot pies @QueBert raves about. The KFC by me is so empty whenever I go, which is nuts because it's in literally the best location in my area for fast food joints: about two blocks from a big Air Force base on the road that goes into it. Close enough to be super convenient but just (barely) far enough that you can usually turn into it without a line of cars blocking you.

I think my biggest problem with it is it isn't honest. It's a 'We're just like $popular_band, but with more jesus!'. All the christian shit feels like it's force fit to sell a product.

You know who makes good mac and cheese bowls with chicken in them? Noodles & Company. I've eaten at one near Racine, WI whenever I visit my company HQ office.

The basic message of pop music is, "I'm looking for someone to fuck." Christian pop puts a chastity belt on the music so it comes off as virtue signalling rubbish as the performers are still looking to get laid.

We used to love Noodles & Co until they pissed me off, twice!
1) they used to offer free Korean BBQ meatballs with any purchase if you complete a survey. back in the day you could buy a Korean BBQ meatballs and get one free. they later amended it (because of some opportunist cheap ass - I wonder who?) to with purchase of a bowl. how dare they.
2) steak stroganoff removed from menu, wtf?

edit: apparently steak stroganoff is back on the menu, hmmn.
