Okay, I been messing around with the Skyrim Skill Builder. I wanted to try and come up with a Level 80 Paladin Build along the lines of what I think is a classical type Paladin. This is not the best or perfect build but just my humble attempt of mapping out one I feel would work well up to Level 80. I did want to share and get some feedback from folks here and see what they think of it.

Hopefully that comes through properly. If not I'll resort to the old fashion way of writing it all up. Anyway on with it.
For race I'm thinking Imperial. I feel it probably best captures the racial representation of what a Paladin in Skyrim is if they had any. One could easily argue a Nord or Breton but I feel Imperial makes more sense. Yes, he would be pro Imperial and anti rebellion but it makes some sense. He would also not likely to join any thief factions like the Thieves Guild, DB, and possibly the Companions although he might but certainly be adverse to werewolves or vampires.
I picture him (or her) as a mace wielding warrior with a shield. Mace and hammer is a little closer to what I think of a Paladin although a two-handed wielder is not out of the question. In my build I went one handed mace because in my mind they are more apt to carry a shield into battle.
Since my version is a shield carrier and wielder I chose to fill out the Blocking tree with nothing left out. I used all the perks in it. This gives him some nasty bash offense and some good blocking abilities. Also with the armor tree I used up all the perks in the heavy armor tree as well. Giving him good protection in heavy armor. A person could use Light armor but I think of a Paladin much like a knight when it comes to armor so heavy made more sense to me.
For magical abilities I think of a paladin as a healer and for buffs so I chose to stick with just Restoration and Alteration in this build. In Restoration I chose all the perks except for Ward Absorb and Restoration Dual Casting. I felt they didn't fit and they would just use up points better spent elsewhere. In Alteration I chose all the perks except for Mage Armor and Alteration Dual Casting basically for the same reasons.
Now for the noncombat skills. I chose to use all the perks in the Smithing tree except Glass Armor. It makes sense to be able to make everything up to dragon armor. I have never used glass armor so I felt I didn't need it. I'm no enchanter expert so for Enchanting I chose to use those that provide Health, Stamina, and Magica. Leaving out Frost, Storm, and Fire.
That left me five unspent points so I placed them in Archery. Now Archery is not something Paladins are known for. In fact it is an invention on my part since I like using bows to some extent in this game so I cheated a bit here and put the last five points into Archery.
Like I said earlier this is not a best, perfect, or ideal build but one that covers what I think is as close to a classical ideal of a paladin as I can think of in Skyrim. I'm still learning this game so I going with what I know so far. I did want to see what others thought though and see if they have something similar or maybe point out something I'm not quite seeing.
Thanks in advance.
