Was going to do my own research and find mods that I thought would be good for me, but then just went with RavenSEAL's pack which added most of what I'd want anyway... so thanks for that.

The texture pack is great for the areas already worked on, and it'll only get better from here.

The 4gb fix MAYBE made thinks a bit smoother, but I really didn't have much issue before. Definitely didn't hurt anything like others report.

Great game which could keep me busy for a long, long time.

So I did the drinking game quest. I was having a hell of a time with a Pyromancer in a fort I had to go to on it. What a pain I ended up using a scroll of Summon Storm Atronach and a 40% fire resist pot in addition to my Berserker Rage and a few stamina pots to burst her down.

I just hit level 26 I read something about reaching a point where the next tier of monsters spawn around the late 20s early 30s making the game really difficult for a few levels till you catch up. Anyone else experience this? I feel like I am that Pyromancer was not an isolated incident.

I was doing another Dwemer Ruins dungeon and was fighting Falmer. I was facerolling through Falmer and some Falmer Stalkers then I get walloped by a Falmer Groombloodmen or something. He was a pain to down because he spawned in a room with 2 Falmer Stalkers and 1 plain Falmer caster. The damage output on me was enormous.

Think I could be hitting this wall?

I was killing every enemy I ran into with 1 arrow, now I'm noticing a lot of enemies take up to 3+, and that's with the 3.0x sneak bonus and upgraded glass bow.

I'm level 30 and haven't noticed any sort of wall, I'm still steamrolling most everything I meet on Expert difficulty. I do run into extremely tough enemies occasionally. Hopefully the enemies do get tougher, I like being forced to use everything I've got, and right now I have something like 50 potions sitting in my inventory doing nothing but taking up space.

Hm. I think I broke that quest line. That quest had me going to some location I hadn't discovered yet, so I spent some time finishing up nearby things before heading out. As I traveled around to dispose of various items I talked to somebody that, apparently, is involved in the late stages of that quest. They directed me to the final area. It all worked out, I just never had to go around gathering anything. Of course, dialogue options later forced me to pretend as if I had, but oh well.

for those getting repeatable CTDs, try this:

In Oblivion, sometimes a CTD occurred to me when I would fast travel or enter a location and there was a person/creature in the spot where I was supposed to end up. At least that's what I deducted from the fact that I could wait/sleep an hour before going to the same spot and then it would work.

So last night after I posted that I went around and got myself full daedric armor and improved it with my 100 smithing. Haven't played since I made the set but I jumped up ~200 armor and over 30 damage. Hoping that should help me against these stronger enemies.

Question what is everyone enchanting on their main set of armor? I know a lot of people run an alchemy set and say a smithing and an enchanting set but what are you rocking on your combat set.

Yup, using +health on my full dragonplate armor. Also just made my daedric sword. Is there a better weapon in the game than a legendary daedric sword with enchantments? The daedric axe has a slightly higher WC, but it is slower.

Daedric weapons are the most powerful. If you use +smithing when you enhance them they can be extremely strong but thats the best you can get. I ended up with the sword after using an Ebony axe until last night. I kind of got sick of the stupid animation when you draw an axe or a mace. Just looked uncool compared to the awesome sword animation.

I finished Dark Brotherhood quests yesterday and got the Blade of Woe. It looks awesome and does more damage than my daedric dagger. I use Mehrunes' Razor with it and kill stuff with whatever I feel like pressing Both look awesome! I don't really like the looks of the daedric weapons...

I also got Chillrend later and it has lower damage than the daedric sword. The paralyze on it however is kinda insane... So it's in my left hand when I don't sneak around. Right hand is either a daedric sword or Mace of Molag Bal. Used Dawnbreaker before Chillrend (looks awesome too!).

I maxed out my deadric 2h sword. its like 769 or something insane like that. I copied the video posted on like page 2 to do it. it was a pain but hell my armor and weapons are insane.

I used a 2h axe but i like the sword far better.

got that. there are also 2 others that allow you to make arrows!

its great being able to break down a ebony sword for ebony. I don't need more money (just got the 25k house!). then again i have a full set of deadra armor.

i'm level 48.

BTW, I found J'Zargo. He was dead in a corner of the Winterhold College courtyard. Probably collateral damage from one of Drusilla's fireballs during a previous dragon fight.

Haven't tried smithing yet. Drusilla has an ebony bow that she just double enchanted so it does 28 physical+37 fire+37 shock damage. x3 sneak bonus. She'll probably improve it later if needed. It's only her backup weapon for shits and giggles, to shoot the odd elk. She's a necromage after all.

i had a fun time last night. A ancient dragon attacked me in town. fucker would land on buildings and get me. since i am a 2h heavy armor warrior there was not much i could do. finally got it to land (after i had died like 5 times) and killed it rather easy (i love the dragonbane sword). then i get out of town not fully healed (figured time would heal me) and another one pounces on me! WTF!

Guild Wars has a 5 meg executable and a single, six gig data file. It loads quickly and is incredibly stable. I sometimes wish other game publishers would take note.

He's talking about the exe that forces the game to use 4GBs of RAM, not a 4GB-sized exe

I think this is a great idea. Right now I'm in this thread looking for popular mods and stability related posts. Since I'm not playing it yet, all the other stuff is in my way. Once I grab this game, I will have the reverse issue after I get up and running comfortably.

i had a fun time last night. A ancient dragon attacked me in town. fucker would land on buildings and get me. since i am a 2h heavy armor warrior there was not much i could do. finally got it to land (after i had died like 5 times) and killed it rather easy (i love the dragonbane sword). then i get out of town not fully healed (figured time would heal me) and another one pounces on me! WTF!

That elder dragon was a bitch to make land. It just kept circling over Solitude flaming everything in sight, and all the buildings got in the way of Drusilla and her storm atros zapping it. Finally got it to land but not before he had taken out the captain of the guards and another important soldier.
