My character:

1A3410160FD8A9FA0FD8792545285F2074884FAF

Looking for ini tweaks right now to fix mouse sensitivity... vertical and horizontal default to different scales... very fugging annoying...

In SkyrimPrefs.ini, set bMouseAcceleration to 0. Fixed the sensitivity issue for me. Also turning off vsync helps.

Just finished the intro. Now to the real world. :D

For some reason I have to click on the skyrim window which brings up a blank screen, then alt tab to it and it loads fine.

And the game so far is what I hoped it would be. I'm playing a dark elf and am enjoying the magic. Love the dual wielding.

It sucks pretty bad that there is no character equip screen to load up slots and admire your character. This is a very basic and largely used feature that I am shocked doesn't come vanilla. Also browsing through the skill constellations is a royal PITA to navigate. I can appreciate it for what it is but it just plain isn't usable. No way around the fact that the navigation and menu's are ported straight from the consoles.

Go into third person view, and as long as your weapon isn't out the mouse will rotate the view around your character.

Thoughts and neat things so far:
*Went elk hunting. Got one shot in the mofo then spent 15 minutes chasing it. Finally chased it into a bandit camp. They killed it, I killed them. :D
*Cleared a mine inhabited by Orc bandits. When I went up to the mine entrance, their sentry challenged me, then warned me off, then finally attacked. Nice change from the instantly hostile bandits of Oblivion.
*First impression of archery is great, 100x better than OB.
*In the dungeons, you can grab torches off of the wall to make it easier to sneak.
*The map automagically marks dungeons as cleared.
*Love the new convo system.
*The menus aren't bad, if you get used to navigating them with WASD. Could have been better optimized for PC, but meh. Favorites system is ok, better than the limited hotkeys in OB, but could be much better for PC.
*Played around a few minutes with crafting. Haven't really even tried to do any quests yet.

So far, my character is pretty much pure warrior, using heavy armor and a 2H axe. I think I'll up the difficulty setting tomorrow. So far most enemies die in 1-2 hits. I'm running the game with all graphics settings maxed, 2x AA, 16x AS, vsync disabled. I also turned on the tree and landscape shadows in the ini file. No performance issues so far.

Going to bed now... tomorrow will be one giant SKyrim binge. :D

I'm loving it, Doing the Bleak Whatever the hell its called [you get it from the guy in the shopped that got mugged] in the first town. The graphics are nice and the gameplay is surprisingly fun, a lot more fun than Oblivion.

I'm liking that some of you guys are comparing it to Oblivion. After I bought it, I told myself it was the last Elder Scrolls game I'd ever buy because I thought it and it's predecessor, Morrowind, were games I just couldn't get into. I did and still do really enjoy F:NV however.

I obviously fell for the hype (again) and I'm getting excited about playing Skyrim based on what you guys are saying. I'm even more excited to see a Fallout game built on this engine. *drools*

Wow, this game is way TOO BLOODY EPIC.

I have never had so much in 2 hours and 46 minutes

I did the Bleak Falls Quest, which you REALLY have do to!!!

Check out my new n00b toys, plus you get to have some pretty epic fights and see a really cool cave. Not to mention you unlock your first shout. :ninja:

Is there a console command to overcome the weather like in Oblivion? I don't care much for all that grey-whiteness. Feels too much like home at this time of year. I want to enable paradise 38eee weather and see everything in bright sunshine. No fog, rain or snow for me if I can avoid them. :)

Oh what mods will do for this game... :D

Inversely, it's been 90+ every day where I am since I've been here so I'm up for some dismal looking snow and clouds.

I was disappointed at first since the graphics didn't blow me out of my socks at first - but they can be tweaked, overall it looks "pretty good".

The RPG "Flair" is great, sound-track is great too...great story..great exploring...

Game runs GREAT - it's absurd to assume people need "the latest" PC to run this game...i am running on a Geforce GTX 275 with 4x Antialiasing on, no performance issues or whatsoever. A decent mid-range PC should be able to run this game as long as it has a dual core. Of course, the better your specs the better :)

I had some issues with the weird user-interface at first...but it takes some time and i think i am getting used to it.

Overall: *** GOOD GAME *** - Nice change after some really mind numbing shooting in BF3 :)

The UI on this one will take some getting used to. I just finished the intro but I can see myself sinking a lot of time into this one.

I was quite impressed with the graphics, actually. It doesn't need/use the latest DX11, the appeal is the scenery looks incredible. Everything that should've been done with Oblivion was done in Skyrim. My setup as listed in my sig is able to handle the game on Ultra 1920x1200 8xAA 16xAF without too much trouble (VERY slight lag).

I noticed that, even though I'm sporting an AMD card, FXAA is an option. I actually did some screenshots, and it looks like FXAA by itself seems to net the most improvement. I DO NOT suggest MLAA unless you're sporting a higher card or Crossfire setup (assuming it's supported at this moment, I've heard otherwise). I can post the picture comparisons, but I need some sleep.
