Hmm, McNabb gets his 5th pro bowl nod this year. I guess being chosen 5 outta 6 years your in the league means your overrated. Wait, oh my god, Barry Sanders got chosen his first 10 years he was in the league, guess that makes him an even shittier player. :disgust:

On a serious note, any Qb who loses a premier WR like TO will surely see a drop off in stats. We already saw this year what happened to Culpepper when Moss was injured. McNabb has helped the Eagles to the NFC championship three times without TO. I know he hasnt been able to win the big one, but neither has Manning, does that make him horrible also?? I think not.

Longkid: I have never said anything about sanders or Manning and your point is invalid. Peyton and Sanders have been on teams, especially Sanders, that have not had a good supporting cast. (Your thinking to yourself Peyton has a great offense with Harrison, James, and everyone else but there defense sucked) The eagles have had a good D since Mcnabb had done well. Can't compare Mcnabb to Peyton either becuase hands down, Peyton is 10 times the better QB. Overrated is different than horrible by the way. I never said Mcnabb was a bad QB just overrated.

well, the players who go to the pro bowl are picked based on the same criteria right? so essentially the group selected to the pro bowl each year fall under an elite status and can be grouped together by their ability. granted their individual abilties may vary they all meet a strick criteria of greatness. so yes i can compare them all even if the comparison isnt exact.

what im getting at is mcnabb made the pro bowl as did manning, they were both selected by the same group of people who obviously see similar talent in both. to say they are wrong it to dispute that long standing tradition.

Did you know its actually legal to tackle them by those things?
It would be legal if they had the ball. Seeing as they're defensive players, they only infrequently have the ball.

Thanks for the info on ray winning last year but its irrelevent to my arguement.

Turning to McNabb, i may have worded my previous post incorrectly. 4th and 26 was amazing, actually mindblowing and Im not trying to detract from that. However, it was only one play and to define the eagles and mcnabb by that one play is wrong. Maybe in the same breath you should mention Westbrooks kick return on Oct 19 (?) against the Giants, sparking a 9-0 run. Or maybe include mcnabb game winning drives against Dallas, at Miami, and at Carolina. How bout overcomming injuries to Taylor, Dawkins, McDougle, Burgess, or Green and still being competative. See, if you actually live in Philly, which I do and have for the last 4 years, you might be a bit more informed as to the scope of the accomplishments this team had in the 2003 season besides that imfamous play. It was a fluke, 99 outta 100 he or anyone else misses that play. Great play, dont define him by it.
Asinine how you think living in Philly validates anything you have to say. I was at the Dallas game at the Linc last weekend, and my g/f lives off Oregon Ave, wtf is your point? Further proof that even monkeys can be Iggle fans.

You say: "Sadly Im replying to a guy who names Vick as the only other one who can make the big play passing. Makes me wonder if you have even watched fooball the last few seasons. You should continue to hit that crack pipe bud."
Sorry, I don't "hit" the crack pipe, but it's painfully obvious that your center city education forgot to inform you that "hitting" the books = literacy. I said: "No other QB in the NFL can make a pass like that in the NFL minus a guy named Vick, not even Manning." Where did I write that Vick can make the "big play passing?" Is your IQ under 100? Reread the statements again, maybe I won't write a letter to Street requesting more city funding for schools.

Again, who is defining McNabb by 4th and 26? Here's some laxative, maybe it'll help you get your head out of your rectum.

Ok so first off I wasnt educated in Philly public schools. Of course that doesnt really matter in this situation anyway.

Secondly get of Mike Vicks dick. Look at your quote. I took it to mean you thought that play couldnt have been made by any other QB in the league except Vick. To that I had to reply because your obviously retarded. Vick is not an accurate passer and as I said if youve been watching the past 2 years you would KNOW that. Grow up, watch some football and enjoy. Stop being such a wanna be tough guy.

P.S. The state of philly public schools isnt something to laugh at. Its actually sad to see them deteriorating. Id know, cause I was required to work their for public service in order pass my freshman year of college. Get off your high horse you insensitive prick cause its really not that funny.

You could have fooled me, since you can't read. I'm not allowed to make assumptions, and you are? Pot meet kettle.

I'm not on Vick's "dick". I actually hate the fcker, but reality is that he's the only other QB in the league that's strong enough to make a throw against the grain and hit a man 60 yds downfield. I thought you would be intelligent enough to ascertain that from my statement. Also, using Vick's % rating is absurd, he's at almost 56% which was McNabb's completion % in his 4th year in the league. Don't be a
d!psh!t and argue about <5% pts either.

Again, McNabb and Vick are the only two who could remotely make a 60yard throw against the grain on the run with regards to strength and accuracy. Maybe the point won't elude you now that it's spelled out like HOOKT ON FONIX.

PS: My g/f's a middle school teacher in center city, that's how I know how "sad" it is. Hence the strong correlation between your inability to read and the dilapidated public school system of Philadelphia.

"As does a 60 yard pass (on the money), against the grain and while scrambling; in a play that lasted 14.2 seconds, does. No other QB in the NFL can make a pass like that in the NFL minus a guy named Vick, not even Manning."

I think you might know of a QB by the name of Daunte Culpepper, plays for the Vikings. There you go, thats someone who can rifle the ball farther and faster than either mcnabb or vick. Watch him throw to Moss and tell me he isnt better at throwing the long ball than mcnabb or vick. That wasnt the point I tried to make when I responded to you much earlier, but there it is. Your wrong.

Besides, WTF are you arguing about anyway. I come to defend McNabb and the eagles which I assume you do too. Asking that people know and respect him for more than a 4th and 26 play, that would have gone unnoticed and unheralded if they would have lost, is asking too much?

Man you get so edgy about a stupid thread. Do people laugh at you a lot, are you picked on at work or something? You feel you need to try and flex them muscles in an internet forum? Sorry, you just come as such a wanna be tough guy. Thought I might ask. I mean I'm not insulted by someone telling me I'm a product of subpar faulty city school system after I explicity told then Ive been in Philly for only 4 years, making this impossible. I was just curious as to what your problem is.

Man some of the names I see peeps using is just astounding. When I read that article about Urlacher I was like wtf? He is great linebacker, I guess Jack Lambert would have been overrated to the dummy who wrote that article as well. D McNabb is easily a top 10 player. For QB's D Nabb has the very best TD to int ratio and outside of Brady has won more games than any other starting QB. For the folks who think McNabb is overrated they need to find another sport to watch, like say, bowling. Culpepper? Thats just plain stupid. Vick, I think the jury is still out on him, but his talent level is just plain scary. If his head ever catches up to his body he could turn into the best ever. Vick has got it all, I mean all, just his head ain't right. Moss? I can't even believe some one would even go there. Ray Lewis? LOL, The most dominate defensive player of our era, overrated my @ss.

My pick for most overrated is probably Chad Pennington. You just come away with a sense of no confidence in that boy at all. He is one of those players who you just say, if something can go wrong with him it will go wrong.

Pennington def impressed me vs the Steelers. I'd rate him as slightly above avg, but def not in the league with McNabb, Manning, Vick, etc.

If he doesn't get past the falcons, he's going to be considered a Jim Kelley understudy - great qb but couldn't win the big games. (they will imo tho.)
