Salary Caps should be put in place for every sport. Just look at baseball. When you have teams like the brewers playing around with 27million to field a team, compared to the Yankees whose cap is what somewhere over 150mil? It?s unreasonable to think they can compete. Until they change that is going to be the same thing we've been seeing for years in baseball; a couple high-spending teams dominating the rest of the league.

I don't think Vick is overrated because I've never heard anyone say that he was the best. Since Vick's injury, Falcons without Vick: 2-10, Falcons with Vick: 13-4 (3-1 last season, 10-3 this season). With him healthy the season before he got injured, they went to the playoffs & beat the Packers @ Lambeau. When he got injured, Falcons won 2 games out of 12 games, when he came back that same season falcons won 3 out of last 4 games. With Vick the falcons as a whole & the defense play much better.

That blows Urlacher's '5-4 vs 0-4' stat out of the water.

Losing a playoff game in Lambeau is a sore memory though. :(

heh most kickers are really important. One of the highest scorers in NFL is a kicker. I wouldn't say they are overrated at all.

Its possible, but Big Ben has shown a great deal of maturity and poise, especially for a rookie. Btw, he's now 11-0 and counting which is a rookie record. Sure, he has a great supporting cast which makes him look much better than he may actually be. But, i don't know if I'd say he's overrated. Even Peyton Manning, who is having the best NFL season ever by a quarterback, took a year or two to settle in.

Bears Fan.

I was Livid as well, they didn't even explain why he was on the All-overrated Team like they did for everyone else. I e-mailed that moron from Sporting News yesterday asking for justification..

Tom Brady.

yeah. vick is good. But again you are comparing a QB to a Linebacker. big difference there.

Vick is not overrated. I enjoy watching him i want to see how he is going to get hurt this week.

Well, I wouldn't go that far, but I do thing Ben Rothslais;ghas;er is overrated. Some guys at ESPN were calling him the mid-season MVP! He is a good, disciplined quarterback, and doesn't make a lot of mistakes. He's surrounded by a very good team, so that's all he needs to do. MVP? Hell, he's probably not even the MVP on his own team.

I say Tom Brady. commentators talk like as if he's montana. BUt he's a yo-yo. No consitency.one game he's hot the next he's no where to be found. He doesn't not deserve 2 superbowl MVPs. the 1st one should've gone to ty law. without law's int and td. brady driving into fg range was meaningless. 2nd one I say he deserved that one.

don't bother mentioning the win streak.

of the 1st 6 wins they got this year to make it 18 in a row. Only the Jets and the Colts are legit teams. Seattle is a remote 3rd.

as it stand today combined w/l record of teams they've beaten is 67-76

their remaining schedule is a cake wake. Miami, Jets and Niners.

Yes its a rant. I'm just plain tired of commentators going on and on about how get the coach Bill Belichick(can't spell his last name) and the pats are the greatest.

I guess the NFL needs a story.

nah..people don't judge him by his talent, he just makes the right plays, he always makes the right decisions. that's quite amazing for a rookie, wouldn't you say? plus, on a team like pittsburgh, the qb doesn't get to throw much.

That would be 99% of them. Along with the basketball and baseball players that whine that they are worth "more than $1M/per season."

I long for the day when salary caps is the norm. Of course, modern day pro-sports guys make more $$ from product endorsements than they do salary. More power to them in that arena, but IMO, salary should be capped.

The NFL has a salary cap.

I didn't know that. I'd imagine it's like $3M/year, right? It should be capped at say, $200K/year.

If the players don't like it, they can go to work in the field they "attained" their college degree in. Most likely Shop Tools or Business Economics, etc.

Let them start at the bottom at $18K/year like the rest of the college graduates.

WTF??? You're paid what your worth in a capitalistic society. Always, no exceptions. Unless you set artifical prices on labor like communist russia did or with atifical salary caps like you want;):( Proof is that someone pays it.

When you can bring in money these boys do in tickets, television contracts, apparel sales etc etc etc you can be paid/demand millions too. Until then don't worry about what football players make, they arn't bugging you.

BTW there is no limit per player but for rookies it's a team cap....I think 78 mil.. Which means some guys like manning make 10M while his linemen maybe only 2 mil

Keyshawn Johnson. There are far better WR's out there, and this fool still gets attention.
