Your failure to accept that humans and chimps are apes stems from a fear of your past.

Apes remind you subconsciously of a time when humans were less evolved. You fear this lower form of humanity because lack of knowledge is dangerous. It's a fear of the unknown again. When humans were less evolved they could not foresee dangerous situations to protect themselves.

It is curious to me that humans fear both lack of knowledge from their past and increased knowledge in the future. Both are unknowns to your conscious mind at this time. Until right... now.

Before that I even made a brief appearance on his internet radio program, not to mention countless interactions with him on his forums. I met him and his whole family in person at a meetup he put together in Southern California. I'm pointing out there that my point is not about the non existence of god but that everyone has a different view of what he/her/it is and that the only way that would change is with something concrete for people to go on.

My post has nothing to do with who is right. Its about how everyone has (slightly or greatly) differing ideas about what god is (or isnt).

Ick. I simply wouldn't have the patience to discuss this issue with him. Watched a few debates/discussions he has had and wanted to smack him within a few minutes. One of them I watched was with ARonra. Slick would just lob a stupid grenade and Aron would start explaining why it was stupid, Slick would interrupt constantly and change the subject just as Aron was getting to the point of showing how stupid Slick's statement was.

If God created everything and he's omniscient then no one has free will, our actions have already been decided by the being that chose to create us that way. This is simple logic.
