I watched it earlier today. Not bad at all. Love the CGI, very well done. Solid B in my book. Is Tim Roth that short? <when he walked along side with the General>

Didn't watch the 2003 version, may watch it later.

BTW, did it have any extra stuffs after the credits?

it wasn't bad - plenty of gaping plot holes, but hey, it's an action movie, we're not going for the thought-provoking plot.

transformers >> iron man >>>>>>>>>>>> edward norton hulk >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> eric bana hulk

Transformers > Iron Man??

I mean, I went to the first showing of transformers (like 2 days before actual release) and I liked it and all but... I think nostalgia is clouding your memory. Watch it again... such cheesy/poorly-delivered lines, almost painfully delivered comedy (c'mon, the military guys should be at least competent), huge plot holes (ok, I realize we're watching a movie about giant talking robots, but still), etc.

Iron Man is the better movie, overall.

i never grew up with transformers :p

iron man was good, but his ass-kissing air force friend really annoyed me. and while the humor was great, tony stark's personality (though perfect for the movie) just wore on me after a while.

start conversation
insert general bullshit
tony stark makes witty remark
end conversation

that, and transformers' music was incredible.

no way in hell was Transformers even nearly as good as Iron Man...

It was good, but not that good...

The first one wasn't horrible, IMO...but this one was better.

I didn't think the first one was horrible either. It was pretty much ok don't understand about all the hate for it.

nope, me and my friends were the only one at the theatre who stayed after the credits and they didn't show anything.

Yeah, I wish they had done the extra scene in Iron Man like they did it with the Hulk. Or at least after the Iron Man song instead of at the very very end of the credits. The Iron Man credits were extremely long and it was hard to get my kid to get my kid to sit through it. He geeked out when he saw you-know-who though.

Watched it yesterday. Here's my impression of the two Hulk movies.

New Hulk. It's a good action popcorn flick, although not as good as Ironman like it was hyped to be. It's truer to the Marvel vision of what a Hulk movie should be. If I was to ask 10 of my friends 9 of them will say they like the new Hulk better. To me it's good, but it doesn't rise much above the "just-another-superhero" movie label. Good action with simple straight forward plot. Seems like it was made to please the mass.

Ang Lee's Hulk. I felt this was a more creative vision of the Hulk. Has a deeper plot, stronger character dynamics, and certainly delved a lot into his anger issues. It has a darker, more adult feel to it and some parts seem surreal. It's more of a drama instead of a crowd pleasing action flick. If you've seen any of Ang Lee's other movies you'd realize that he often focus on the tragic nature of his characters.

All in all, I'd go with the minority and say that the Ang Lee one is a better movie even though Norton's Hulk is more representative of a comic book Marvel Hulk.
