Good flick, not great. The only real complaint was the movie could have used a lot less Liv Taylor screen time. Other than that, it was pretty good and more in line with what a Hulk movie should be. Much better than the first one anyway and I'll probably see it again when it comes out on video.

*********** SPOILER ******************

The professor that helped Banner at the end, forget his name but he was Mr. Blue, is he going to be some future villain? Some of the Banner blood spilled on that cut in his head and his skull started transforming a little bit where it got in the cut. And he certainly didn't seem to have any qualms about using Banner's blood for experiments and such. Was he at character from one of the Hulk comic books at any time?

Oh, and I sure would have liked to have seen the Hulk rip off the Abonimation's head at the end of their fight. What do you suppose happens with the Abonimation?

yeah, pretty lame if you ask me, they're leaving an out for Abomination to make a comeback should they ever need it. Yeah yeah, its awesome that Bruce still has some control when he's Hulk, but come on, the greatest weakness of most heroes is that they don't confirm the kill!

Abomination had just killed several dozen people (had to be at least that much) and caused at least millions upon millions in damage - all because he was psychotic and just wanted to fight and prove himself. On the other hand we have Bruce/Hulk who has only killed by accident or when provoked. Letting him live is not smart. F***ing Betty...ok good, you got him to stop, now tell him to "FINISH HIM!!!"

Anyways, they need to come up with some magical way of imprisoning Abomination if they're going to let him live. IIRC he doesn't revert back to a lesser form like Hulk does into Bruce, which is why he's more powerful by default but Hulk can be more powerful (limitlessly so) should he get angry enough.

well.. i'm on the fence about seeing it (especially after reading this thread), and i was going to go tonight or tomorrow.
i'm not really a "HULK" person so the movie would have to be really really good in order for me to want sit through it.

IT sounds like this movie is doing alright. I thought Norton was committing career suicide by signing up for this movie.

I thought it was a good movie but not great. I liked the scene where Liv Tyler was slapping Banner's penis around and Banner says "What the hell are you trying to do?" And Liv Tyler says, "I'm trying to get it angry so it'll grow bigger".

lol, that's a generous interpretation, although a scene like that would have been better than what they did shoot. :p

This film portrays how the 2003 Hulk should have been, which is just a solid movie.

bullshit, you are just another person who jumped on the bandwagon.

the previous hulk movie was way more interesting than this one. The best part of this movie was the ending where they showed Stark.

This hulk movie had a lot of problems, it was short (which was actually good considering it was boring)

norton was alright but the story lacked something special.

The hulk also didn't feel as powerful as he did in the other film and it was more of the same crap where he throws cars around, ending in a good fight shot in the dark where you couldn't see what the fuck was happening.

The only movie with more fail than this in recent memory was transformers.

Transformers > Iron Man??

I mean, I went to the first showing of transformers (like 2 days before actual release) and I liked it and all but... I think nostalgia is clouding your memory. Watch it again... such cheesy/poorly-delivered lines, almost painfully delivered comedy (c'mon, the military guys should be at least competent), huge plot holes (ok, I realize we're watching a movie about giant talking robots, but still), etc.

Iron Man is the better movie, overall.

I know, worthless opinion after he wrote that.

Sure...

This movie was good. We saw it in theaters and don't regret paying for it.

Never seen it actually.

Doesnt change the fact that your opinion on anything is worth absolutely nothing.

As part of my father's day gift, my wife bought tickets for me to take my son to see this. He thought it was awesome and loved it when you know who showed up at the end. When I explained to him that they were setting up an Avengers movie, he got really hyped up. Poor kid, I didn't have the heart to tell him he was going to have to wait 3 years.

I went to it not expecting much, but ended up liking it. The CG was very well done and didn't take away from the movie like a lot of other CG has in the past. I thought Norton did a good job but like stated before, could have done with less Liv Tyler. I've never been into the marvel side of things but I've been impressed enough with Iron Man and this that I'm looking forward to the rest of what they're doing.

Holy crap. I liked the first Hulk (one of the few it seems) but it was anything but superb. The whole story arc with his father was just complete shit; the rest of the movie was okay though.

This recent Hulk is much better imo, and although it is different, you can see where it ties in from where the first one left off, so it's not a complete reboot.

The only similarity between this movie and the last one is that the last one ended with Banner in South America. This one starts with Banner in South America (Brazil). Beyond that, they change the origin story to where it reflects more closely to the TV show than the Ang Lee movie.

But, the Norton Hulk is definitely superior. The movie had its slow moments and Liv Tyler was nice to look at (white blouse + rain = woohoo!) but the original Hulk was so ponderous and a mess with the stuff with his dad.

the CG hulk from that movie, could beat up the CG hulk from this movie

hands down!

the other hulk was 16ft when angered.

this movie didn't even have water come off him when he shrunk, where did the mass go? He was totally weak. The whole shit was weak.

It wasn't as good as I was hoping for (too short, Hulk didn't seem quite big and strong enough, the final fight could've been another 30 minutes and I would've been happy), but it was still worth seeing at the theater. Better than the 2003 version, which I thought was ok but too weird and too focused on him running from the gov't. Honestly I just enjoyed Hulk having a worthy opponent to defeat. The fight with Abomination was what the first movie needed, not some esoteric mind-energy battle with the Hulk's dad.
