Just looking at our group, we're ranked 56 in the world... not too shabby, but we need to do better! I'll try to get some completion on easy (boring) and then delve into hard for more groupies over the next couple days.

Sounds good. I might hit up some Easy too... I've been playing on Medium so far though. I could probably do some Hard but not the whole thing, yet.

I'll do the 5-stars on Medium thing just to get some more points...Hard is way more fun though.

I cannot for the life of me beat Lou on hard. It is impossible. I have accepted defeat and am a couple days away from selling it and just purchasing Rock Band.

I played Lou about 50-60 times on hard before I beat it. The trick is... luck. Assuming that you're at least decently competent in your playing of the song, the specific weapons that you and he get are the most important part of the whole match. Ideally, you'll each get a "Whammy" to start out with because it will barely affect you and can entirely finish him if it's timed just right.

The best thing you can do is just learn exactly where all the weapon notes are and make completely sure that you don't miss those. And if he gets a Double, just restart.

ya that double is killer, only thing i'd add is try time ur weapons when his are coming up so he misses them

Where is it possible to entirely kill him off with the whammy?

Also, I've timed the weapons plenty enough, and I have yet to beat him. I just can't do it.

2) Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero III difficulty comparison video - This is really interesting, it shows three songs that will be in both right next to one another.

I'm going off reports on the achieve360points.com message boards, but if you are able to attack him with a whammy right when the long chain of Green+Red notes start up, that may do the trick.

I can't tell you from personal experience, because I failed about 60 straight times. I'm 90% sure that the time that I finally beat him my eyes looked like Isaac Mendez'.

I can't complain too much about paying for things already on the disc... I bought the DDR 10 song pack for $10

That sucks! My Wii version only took a few hours or so. Maybe you can re-submit the request or something?

I only have a two or three more songs to go on medium. That f'ing Disturbed song pisses me off, doesn't help I don't like the band anyway. I can beat it okay but I'm going for all five stars, which I believe I have so far. I might hit some more up tonight before I hit the bars.

Then it's on to some hard mode, and I still need to do some easy just to get it out of the way. I'm sure I'll get pissed that I suck in hard and do some easy though, haha.

I'm not sure what you mean. They'll be releasing song packs for sure...

One, Cliffs of Dover, and Number of the Beast FINALLY down on Expert...

Only Raining Blood left to go, and I'm not quite sure that I'll ever make it through Mosh 1, even after much practice and multiple attempts...I'm not giving up, but this one is going to take some time -_-

I finally beat the devil on HARD.... hell ya! Only took like 40 tries....

Onto Expert

This game is definately harder than GH2 since I never had this much trouble and I beat GH2 on Expert

Beat the game on medium so far. Its gonna take some time to learn to move my hand to hit those oranges.

Is that the best way to do it? First 4 fingers GRYB then slide hand down to hit O notes?

God I suck at hard. I got 5 stars on all medium songs except for like two or three of them, but I can't even get 90% on hard mode for the first set of songs. BAH.

A friend's brother told me he usually just uses his pinky to hit the orange, unless there's a lot then he slides down. I can't do that at all... I slide everytime. Need to learn the pinky thing. That, or keep my fingers down a fret and reach up with forefinger to green.

for the life of me i can't beat this song, even on hard... i can beat freakin' pretty much everything else (and yes that excludes Raining Blood on expert)

I just rented GHIII and it's pretty cool. Does anyone else think the hammer-ons and pull-offs are easier to do than GHII? I'm using the GHII wired guitar.
