As if voluntarily being part of the Republican party in any capacity doesn't qualify as horrible. This is the guy I was thinking about that nobody knew his name .....
WILL HURD
The former Texas congressman kicked off his bid on June 22 on “CBS Mornings,” hoping to build momentum as a more moderate alternative to Trump. Hurd, a onetime CIA officer and fierce Trump critic, served three terms in the House through January 2021 and was the chamber’s only Black Republican during his final two years in office.

Who's running for president? Here's a rundown of the 2024 candidates
With more than a year until the 2024 presidential contest, the field of candidates is largely setabcnews.go.com
On the surface he doesn't sound horrible, which probably means he never had a chance.
he should have endorsed biden to top it off. that would have been icing on the cake. would it change many minds? i'm not so sure. but it would make the point that the republican party is so awful, that even for a self-avowed republican, the only choice at this point is to support the not-supporting-a-dictator candidateChris Christie has officially dropped out of the race. I'm no fan, but his dropping out speech was probably the best thing I've heard come out of him. Points, he's NOT endorsing any other candidate. He's said the he made the point that Trump was unfit for office and the fact that neither of his opponents would admit that, means they are also unfit for office. He also pointed out that he polled all of the other candidates during a debate as to whether they would support Trump if he were convicted, all of them except Desantis said yes until Ron looked around and saw all the other hands up, so he raised his hand then. Wonderful scorched earth.
Damn, I was thinking of trailing off with. Seems like an endorsement for Biden.he should have endorsed biden to top it off. that would have been icing on the cake. would it change many minds? i'm not so sure. but it would make the point that the republican party is so awful, that even for a self-avowed republican, the only choice at this point is to support the not-supporting-a-dictator candidate
I can't believe I'm about to type this but... we need more Chris Christies in the Pub party.
Grifters, yes, but grifters who know they don't got no grift left if America goes tits up.
There are none. If there were they’d be speaking out like Christy.
