I'm not partisan at all. Trust me, you're the crazy one![]()
I guess he wasn't a Marine but the fact remains.
SOP.
- 1."To take charge of this post and all government property in view." Where your post is and the limits of your post will be spelled out in your special orders. Within these limits a sentry has authority over all persons entering on his post.
2."To walk my post in a military manner keeping always on the alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing."When you take charge of your post you will conduct yourself in a military manner at all times; being alert to everything that takes place around you.
3. "To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce." A sentry will report immediately any violation of orders, apprehending (to temporarily hold) any offender.
4."To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guardhouse than my own." If another sentry calls to the Corporal of the Guard and you are closer to the guardhouse than he is, repeat the call exactly as you heard it.
5."To quit my post only when properly relieved." A sentry may leave his post to apprehend an individual who is violating an order, but will at all other times remain on his post. If time comes for his relief, he will not leave his post but will call the Corporal of the Guard.
6."To receive, obey, and pass on to the sentry who relieves me, all orders from the Commanding Officer, Officer of the Day, officers and non-commissioned officers of the guard only."Orders may change or new orders may be received while you are walking your post. You must be sure that your relief has these orders explained to him.
7."To talk to no one except in the line of duty."When a sentry is asked a questions, he answers briefly and courteously. You will allow no one to remain on your post to carry on a conversation except those members of the guard conducting inspections.
8."To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder." The first rule is to sound the alarm loudly so that the Corporal of the Guard will hear you. If there is a fire, sound the alarm and clear the building. If a disorder comes about on your post, call the Corporal of the Guard and attempt to apprehend the individuals causing the disorder.
9."To call the Corporal of the Guard in any case not covered by instructions." When in doubt call the Corporal of the Guard. If a situation arises that is not covered by either general or special orders, call the Corporal of the Guard.
10."To salute all officers, colors, and standards not cased." A sentry walking his post during periods when he does not have to challenge and armed with a rifle (except at sling arms) will execute the proper rifle salute to all officers on or near his post. If the sentry is at sling arms he will render a hand salute. When a sentry is addressed by an officer, before challenging or after challenging, the sentry while at the halt will render a present arms. A sentry who is armed with a pistol does not salute after challenging. He stands at raised pistol and holding a conversation, he does not salute, but remains at raised pistol until the person has passed. No salute will be rendered by a member of the Guard who is engaged in the performance of a specific duty which would prevent saluting. Cased colors or standards are those which are furled and enclosed in a protective covering.
11. "To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without proper authority."
He was given permission by his superior that he could leave and told to not take his equipment with him. In addition it is coming out that he was out taking a leak when captured.
That fits with the Rolling Stone article about how Bergdahl's unit had some major fuckups in it. If this Korder guy is one of those fuckups is his word about the service of someone else really worth anything at all? Not to me.Korder was recently discharged, which was listed as other than honorable.
Korder is a piece of crap. He is a pathological liar and a complete hypocrite. He says this Bergdahl guy abandoned them...but what Korder doesn't say about himself is that he (Korder) abandoned his own children. I know because I have his 8 year old daughter. He left me when I got pregnant, knocked up another girl right after he left me, and left her. Since he disappeared, she didn't have family support and ended up having to give up their daughter. He denied our daughter for several years. After he got married, his wife had to FORCE him to talk to my daughter. He has NEVER made an effort to see or talk to her on his own merit. She will be 9 in Oct. He has 3 kids that we know of. And he has pretty much turned his back on all of them. Screw him for complaining about someone abandoning him. And there was a fund for him...but I complained to the site and they took it down. He does NOT deserve support from anyone...he can't even help support his own kids. There is a lot more to him than that. And I would LOVE to expose him, but I wouldn't even know where to start.
Juicy. And he was discharged because he cheated on his wife sooooo many times and there was sooooo much proof that the Army could no longer turn their backs. I know the Army protects their soldiers from infidelity cases a lot. But there was just soooo much evidence against him and he lied to his commanding officers so much, that they had to discharge them. From what his wife has told me, he is not getting money from them. He hasn't even paid his court ordered child support for their child.
I do have the number for legal aid...and I shall call them tomorrow
Also....what really is a slap in the face to my daughter....he has a new gf right now who has a daughter that is around the same age as mine....and her little girl calls him "Daddy" and he is supposedly playing the role for her. What a dick. How can you completely turn your back on your own child, but have no problems taking care of someone elses?
Ya know, he was in MN where his soon to be ex wife and their child lives...he was there doing the news interview and never once even tried to talk to his daughter.
Common sense in a situation like that should be considered even then, in a war zone.Your point since he was not on guard duty at the time?
That is a definition of an Ad hominen attack right there...
the facts surrounding the eight deaths are far murkier than definitive
That is a definition of an Ad hominen attack right there. Don't listen to this guy's story about Bergdahl's desertion because he is a shitty husband and father.
His wife was living in MN having a miscarriage while he was based in AK, when she called that friday (Of Valentines Day 2009) and told him she was in the hospital for a miscarriage. He told her to rest but he wouldn't have his phone on because the army was keeping him busy that weekend. A month or so later, he was deployed...all of his belongings were in AK. His wife got a call/text from someone askking if she was still married to him. When she said yes, this woman proceeded to tell her that he had been living with her the entire 2-3 months he had been based in AK. That weekend she was in the hospital, she found out that he had been sleeping with this other woman the ENTIRE weekend. Trying to get her pregnant, telling her he loved her. This poor other woman had no clue he was still married. He knew his wife was in the hospital. But he turned his phone off on purpose to have sex with his gf.
Isnt this whole thing an Ad Hom?
Dont rescue this guy because he's a shitty soldier and deserves to rot in a Taliban hole until they cut off his head.
Hey,those men died so you pieces of shit could say that it was irrelevant they died, then lie about the reason they died.
..and they'd do it all over again, too.
Unfortunately the US is running out of people of that calibur.
They are most certainly not to be found much around here.

That is exactly why a Republican will never ever be elected as POTUS ever again........
No one ever went broke overestimating the gullibility of the American voter

GRAHAM: This is a very bad deal for America and this is the same president who embraces never leaving anybody behind, but never picked up the phone during the night of the Benghazi attack to call for help in Libya and was virtually AWOL.
So I want to thank him for keeping Benghazi alive.
First, it's from Hot Air, which is the perfect name for that place.

This line of argument annoys me.
